Updating all of the action from the final night of the Iowa high school wrestling state tournament

The biggest night of the Iowa high school wrestling season is here. 

Wrestlers from all three classes will battle for state titles. At the end of the night, individual and team titles will be crowned. 

Join us starting at 5:30 p.m. for all of the action.

Southeast Polk's 221.5 points was just shy of the all-time points record of 225 that was set by Waverly-Shell Rock in 2008.

Osage's Mac Muller earns a 6-3 decision over Columbus/WMU's Russel Coil.

Hererra, the Iowa State signee, takes an 18-6 win to finish an undefeated season.

Ames' Daniel Herrera is dominating Waverly-Shell Rock's Caden Wetherell, 14-3, in the third period.

Class 1A - 215

Nodaway Valley's Ashton Honnold scored a late takedown to push his match with Maquouketa Valley's into overtime. He the added another takedown in overtime to steal a 6-4 decision. 

Class 2A - 215 

NH/TV's Braden McShane earns a 5-4 decision over South Tama County's Gavin Bridgewater.

Class 3A - 215

Fort Dodge sophomore Dreshaun Ross has already made his presence known on the football field and wrestling mat in his short prep career, and he adds to it with another state title. He dominated Southeast Polk's Holden Hansen scoring three early takedowns and then pinned Hansen at the 1:38 mark. 

Class 1A - 190

North Butler-Clarksville's MaKade Bloker earns a 9-3 decision over Louden Huisenga of WACO, Wayland. 

Class 2A - 190

Jarrett Roos of Sheldon/South O'Brien takes a 4-2 decision over North Polk's Ben Bryant.

Class 3A - 190

Mickel tied the match  but Slade records a takedown with 20 seconds left to take the 6-5 decision.

Southeast Polk's Brent Slade takes a 4-3 lead over Danarii Mickel late in the third in what has been a hotly contested match.

Carlisle's Asa Hemsted pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament in the semifinals Friday with a win over three-time state Waterloo East's Max Magayna. However, he couldn't pull off a title win as Fort Dodge's Damarion Ross hung on for a 2-1 decision.

Mount Vernon's Klayten Perrault takes the title with a 7-1 decision over Cael McCabe. 

Class 3A - 106 

DeSalvo takes the title in dominating fashion with a 13-0 decison over Porter.

Wilton's Liam Adlfinger upsets No. 1 Hayden Schwab of Don Bosco in a wild finish. Adlfinger scored late to earn the 9-8 decision.

Southeast Polk freshman Nico 'DeSalvo has a commanding 7-0 lead over fellow freshman Weston Porter of Lewis Central. End of second period.

Southeast Polk aleady has the 3A team championship wrapped up but will be gunning for the all-time high point total held by Waverly-Shell Rock. 

The finals are beginning soon. All 336 wrestlers are participating in the Grand March with the Olympic anthem playing in the background. One of the more special moments in Iowa prep sports.
