15-year-old killed outside Louisiana high school football game: report

Bogalusa High School homecoming ends with multiple gunshots

A 15-year-old was killed in a shooting outside of a high school football game in Louisiana Friday night, according to local news reports.

Multiple gunshots rang out during Bogalusa High School's homecoming night game with Jewel-Sumner, which sent both teams running, according to WVUE-TV

Police told the news station the shooting took place outside of Bogalusa's football stadium and later announced the death of a 15-year-old with no additional information.

Bogalusa led 46-27 when the game was called.

The local news team heard shots ring out after Bogalusa scored its fifth touchdown of the night. The game was quickly called off.

The Louisiana incident is the latest shooting to take place at a high school football setting this season.

Gunshots disrupted a Minnesota high school football game on Sept. 23, a 14-year-old was killed and four teammates were shot after a scrimmage in Philadelphia in late September and a 17-year-old was killed in a shooting after a game in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in late September.

This is a developing story.
