Cameron Jefferson, Airline football 

Jefferson caught seven passes for 132 yards while adding 23 yards rushing and two touchdowns as the Vikings clinched the 1-5A title with a 41-20 win against crosstown rival Parkway on Thursday.

Cooper DeFatta, Loyola football 

DeFatta accounted for five total TDs in the Flyers’ 41-22 win against North Caddo. He rushed for 91 yards on 16 carries and three TDs and passed for two more TDs, completing 6-of-11 passes for 86 yards.

Desmond Simmons, Byrd football

Simmons rushed for 106 yards on eight carries - half of those going for TDs - in the Yellow Jackets’ 58-0 win against Southwood.

Colin Rains, Haughton football

Rains completed 10-of-15 passes for 228 yards and two TDs and added two rushing TDs in a 56-20 win against Natchitoches Central.

Mason Welch, Northwood-Shreveport football

Welch completed 7-of-12 passes for 103 yards while throwing for three TDs in a 48-0 win against Woodlawn-Shreveport.

Toby Franklin, Haynesville football

In the Golden Tornado’s 64-0 win against Ringgold, Franklin rushed for 101 yards and scored three TDs.

James Simon, Calvary Baptist football

Simon rushed four times for 72 yards and scored three TDs in the Cavaliers’ 63-0 win against Lakeside.

Jakobe Jackson, Minden football

In a 43-26 win against Booker T. Washington-Shreveport, the Crimson Tide quarterback passed for 100 yards and a TD and rushed for 76 yards and two TDs.

Carlos Bazert, Avoyelles football

Bazert rushed for 290 yards and four touchdowns as the Mustangs claimed a district title with a 68-45 win against Rosepine.

Jeremiah Caldwell, Tioga football

In the Indians’ 55-0 win against Peabody, Caldwell carried the ball 12 times for 162 yards and four touchdowns.

Malachi Jackson, Winnfield football

Jackson amassed 251 yards of total offense and four TDs for the Tigers in their 41-28 win against Mansfield. He had 185 of those yards on the ground on 13 carries, scoring three TDs.

Brandon Williams, Jena football

Williams rushed for 122 yards and three TDs in the Giants’ 44-24 win against Caldwell Parish.

Blake Matkin, Many football

Matkin recorded two sacks and had four tackles as the Tiger defense notched a shutout, beating Red River, 42-0.

Kendryk Morrow, LaSalle football

Morrow accounted for 256 yards and had two touchdowns in the Tigers’ 44-20 win against Northwood-Lena.

Tanner Lemoine, Bunkie football

Lemoine had 10 carries for 142 yards and a TD in the Panthers’ 47-21 win against Bolton.

Cedrick Allison, Oakdale football

Allison rushed for 124 yards and two TDs in his team’s 22-17 comeback win against Menard.

Jaden Reese, Church Point football

Church Point's quarterback threw a go-ahead TD pass and added a rushing TD in a 36-29 win against Kaplan, as he ended up with 110 rushing yards and four total touchdowns.

Lynkon Romero, Erath football

The Bobcats’ quarterback accounted for 223 total yards and five touchdowns, three passing and two rushing, in Erath's 39-28 win at Crowley.

Sam Altmann, St. Thomas More football

Altmann completed 20-of-32 passes for 390 yards and five TDs as the Cougars posted a 42-34 win against Westgate.

Frank Mansfield, Neville football

Mansfield rushed for 121 yards on 13 carries and two TDs in the Tigers’ 51-28 win against Franklin Parish.

Landon Graves, Ouachita Christian football

Graves was 17-of-22 passing for 325 yards with four TDs and added 25 yards rushing and a TD in a 49-18 win against West Marion, Miss.

William Patrick, St. Frederick football

Patrick caught three passes for 105 yards and three TDs in his team’s 43-26 win against Lincoln Prep.

Dyson Fields, Ruston football

Fields had 23 carries for 105 yards and scored two TDs in the Bearcats’ 47-13 win against Ouachita Parish.

Antonio Ford, West Ouachita football

Ford rushed for 266 yards on 27 carries and had three TDs in a 41-7 win against Pineville.

Trey Holly, Union Parish football

Holly had 14 carries for 197 yards and two TDs as the Farmers posted a 55-14 win against Wossman.

Demarcus Singleton, Thibodaux football

Singleton rushed for 208 yards on 13 carries and had three TDs in the Tigers’ 47-28 win against Terrebonne.

Jaden Wells, Lakeshore football

Wells caught six passes for 185 yards and scored two TDs in Lakeshore’s 42-14 win against Hannan.

Ja’Cory Thomas, Walker football

In Walker’s 35-7 win against St. Amant, Thomas accounted for 206 yards of total offense and scored two rushing TDs and two receiving TDs.

Ashton Levi, Bogalusa football

Levi completed 19-of-28 passes for 544 yards and four TDs, added a rushing TD and caught a 56-yard pass in the Lumberjacks’ 56-15 win against Pine.

Beau Perez, Jesuit football

Perez passed for 160 yards, including a go-ahead TD pass in the fourth quarter, and had a rushing TDs in the Blue Jays’ 16-12 win against Holy Cross in the 100th anniversary game between the two rivals.

Trevel Watts, Slidell football

Watts had 157 yards rushing on 14 carries and two TDs as Slidell claimed the District 6-5A title with a 35-0 win against Fontainebleau.

James Bridges, Northshore football

Bridges returned a punt 70 yards for a TD and a kickoff 85 yards for another TD, both coming in the second quarter, in Northshore’s 42-13 win against Covington. He also caught three passes for 38 yards.

Shane Lee, Destrehan football

Lee carried the ball 11 times for 147 yards and two TDs while catching a 13-yard TD pass in the Wildcats’ 48-7 win against East St. John, Destrehan’s 20th consecutive win in district play.

Will Zurik, Newman football

Zurik rushed for 107 yards on 23 carries and a TD while catching four passes for 47 yards and a TD in the Greenies’ 41-12 win against Martin Luther King.

Ayden Authement, St. Charles Catholic football

Authement rushed for 101 yards and three TDs and added 60 yards passing in the Comets’ 35-14 win against Metairie Park Country Day.

Jacey Heard, McKinley football

Heard returned the opening kickoff 83 yards for a TD and also returned a punt 66 yards for another score as the Panthers’ clinched their first winning season since 2010 in a 41-0 win against Belaire.

Chad Elzy, Ascension Catholic football

Elzy rushed for 70 yards and three TDs, and also intercepted a pass which set up another TD, in the Bulldogs’ 54-12 win against White Castle.

Eli Holstein, Zachary football

Holstein completed 13-of-18 passes for 183 yards and a TD while adding a rushing TD in the Broncos’ 62-12 win against Liberty, also giving Zachary coach David Brewerton his 100th win.

Shelton Sampson, Catholic-Baton Rouge football

Sampson caught six passes for 142 yards and two TDs in the Bears’ 38-0 win against Scotlandville.

Germarcus Wilson, Kentwood football

Wilson was 14-of-20 passing for 176 yards and three TDs as the Kangaroos held off Southern Lab, 33-26.

Cam Chatellier, Dominican volleyball

Chatellier had a team-high 16 kills as Dominican avenged an earlier loss to Mt. Carmel with a four-set win Wednesday.

Tierney Terrell, Northshore volleyball

Terrell recorded 21 kills and 18 digs as Northshore recorded a four-set win against St. Scholastica.

Jack DesRoches, Jesuit boys cross country

DesRoches won the individual boys title at the 9-5A district meet on Thursday in New Orleans’ City Park, finishing with a time of 14:29, which set a City Park course record.

Catalina Reichard, Mount Carmel girls cross country

Reichard was the girls individual winner at the 9-5A district meet Thursday in New Orleans’ City Park, finishing in a time of 17:58.

Michelle Daigle, St. Joseph’s girls cross country

Daigle was the individual girls champion at last week’s Baton Rouge Metro Cross Country Championship, finishing with a time of 17:57.07.

Rhen Langley, Zachary boys cross country

Langley was the individual boys champion at last week’s Baton Rouge Metro Cross Country Championship, finishing with a time of 15:24.02.
