Charli Neumann, St. John-Plaquemine softball

The sophomore had two doubles, two home runs, seven RBIs and was walked three times as her team went 2-0 at the Sulphur Tournament with wins over Lakeside and Sacred Heart. The Lady Eagles are 8-5 and No. 16 in the Division IV select power ratings.

Kamryn Cancienne, St. Charles Catholic softball

The sophomore southpaw threw 27 innings, facing 112 batters with a 1.29 ERA as the Lady Comets defeated E.D. White, Fisher, Dominican and French Settlement. St. Charles is 10-3 and No. 2 in the Division III select power ratings.

J.D. Hidalgo, Catholic-New Iberia baseball

The junior threw six innings of shutout baseball while allowing one hit with 11 strikeouts and six walks in a game against Riverside that ended in a 1-1 tie. Hidalgo, who went 2-for-4 at the plate, is part of a deep pitching staff for the Division III select No. 13 Panthers (6-7-1).

Gavin Stein, Lakeshore baseball

Stein ripped the go-ahead RBI double in extra innings to lift the Titans to a 4-3 win over Mandeville. The Titans, who reached the state tournament in 2023, are 4-12 with seven losses by three runs or less.

Mary Claire Brinkman, Alexandria softball

Brinkman, a junior shortstop, hit the first three home runs of her career last week, going 6-for-8 with two home runs, a double, four RBIs and four runs scored on Saturday as the Lady Trojans split games with LaSalle and Barbe. Alexandria is 12-9 and No. 9 in the Division I select power ratings.

Nikki Vaughn, Northshore softball

The freshman threw a perfect game in an 18-0 shutout of Franklinton. The Lady Panthers are 9-6 and No. 28 in the Division I non-select power ratings.

Cooper Martin, Lafayette Christian baseball

The senior became the school's career leader in home runs, hits and doubles. The Baton Rouge Community College signee hit two home runs in two days as the Knights defeated Sterlington and Southside in one-run games. Lafayette Christian is 10-8 and No. 8 in the Division II select power ratings.

Dontre Henry, Opelousas Catholic baseball

The 6-foot-4 senior pitcher threw a no-hitter with nine strikeouts over six innings in the Vikings' 11-1 win over Cecilia. Opelousas Catholic, 12-4 and No. 2 in the Division IV select power ratings, is coming off a 4-0 week that included wins over Loreauville, Ascension Episcopal and Holy Savior Menard.

Sterling Sims, Sterlington baseball

Sims struck out 10 over six innings in a 4-0 win over Division III select No. 5 Calvary Baptist (11-6) The Panthers are 8-6 and No. 3 in the power ratings.

Seth Leger, Erath baseball

Leger went 3-for-4 at the plate, including a run-scoring double in the first inning, and was the winning pitcher in the Bobcats' 9-4 win over Sterlington. Erath is 12-5 and No. 8 in the Division II non-select power ratings.

Sydnie Ferrant, Archbishop Hannan softball

The senior Samford signee belted two home runs in a 9-4 win over Ponchatoula. The Lady Hawks are 16-4, No. 2 in the Division II select power ratings and have won 13 of their last 14 games with its only loss to unbeaten Sterlington.

Ava Nehring, Central-Baton Rouge softball

The junior Southern Miss commit drove in five runs on two hits, highlighted by her fourth home run of the year, in a 14-5 win over French Settlement. Central is 11-6, has won eight straight games and scored 89 runs in its last five.

Ryan Claverie, Archbishop Rummel baseball

The senior allowed one unearned run and four hits over seven innings, striking out two as the Raiders completed a Catholic League sweep of Jesuit. The senior left-hander made a successful recovery from back surgery, according to Chris Dabe of nola.com. Rummel is 11-5 and No. 2 in the Division I select power ratings.

Addison Harvey, University Lab softball

The senior broke the national all-time stolen base record with 159 consecutive successful attempts. U-High is 11-3 and No. 11 in the Division III select power ratings.

Olivia Henry, Buckeye softball

Henry tossed a no-hitter, her third of the season, to improve her record to 11-2 with a 7-0 win over Marksville, according to Bret McCormick of the Rapides Parish Journal. Buckeye is 13-6 and No. 1 in the Division II select power ratings.

Lila Robertson, Natchitoches Central softball

Robertson earned the win in a 7-4 district victory over Haughton. She also hit a two-run homer with a triple and five RBIs as the Chiefs defeated Monterey and lost to Tioga and Calvary Baptist. Natchitoches-Central is 10-11 overall, 4-0 in District 1-5A.

Cooper Winchester, St. Paul's baseball

The Air Force signee hit the walk-off RBI single in the seventh inning to lead his team to a 4-3 win over Brother Martin. St. Paul's is 10-6 and No. 7 in the Division I select power ratings.

Hailey Peterson, Haynes Academy softball

The Lady Jackets swept Mobile Christian (Alabama) and St. Thomas Aquinas to run their record to 11-4 and No. 7 in the Division II select power ratings. Peterson had two hits with a double and two RBIs in the 6-1 win over Mobile Christian. She struck out 12 while pitching a one-hitter and homered with two RBIs in the 4-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas, according to Ken Trahan of Crescent City Sports.

Haley Martin, Calvin softball

Calvin defeated Hicks and Avoyelles and lost to Grace Christian. Martin pitched 17 innings, striking out 22 and allowing four earned runs. She has 135 strikeouts in 117 innings with a 2.74 ERA. Calvin is 13-8 and No. 11 in the Division V non-select power ratings.

Chesni Ashley, Ouachita Parish softball

Ashley batted .357 with a triple and four singles as the Lady Lions beat West Monroe and lost to Calvary Baptist, D'Arbonne Woods Charter and Ruston. The latter two games were decided by a total of four runs. Ouachita is 8-11 and No. 27 in the Division I non-select power ratings.

Lilia Alleman, Assumption softball

Alleman, a freshman, hit her second and third home runs of the season as the Lady Mustangs went 3-1 on the week. Assumption is 13-5 and No. 7 in the Division II non-select power ratings.

Hailey Marange, Mandeville softball

The senior hit her first two home runs of the season in a loss to Parkview Baptist. Mandeville is 10-5 and No. 22 in the Division I non-select power ratings.

Murphy DeMoss, Ruston softball

DeMoss hit a two-run double to walk it off in a 10-9 win over Ouachita. Ruston is 13-7 and No. 6 in the Division I non-select power ratings.

Se'Marai Smith, Caldwell Parish softball

Smith combined with Emily Rucker on a two-hitter and went 3-for-4 at the plate in a 9-2 win over Winnfield. Caldwell Parish is 10-8 and No. 11 in the Division III non-select power ratings.

Khia Williams, Lafayette High girls track and field

Williams won the 100 and 400 meters and ran a leg on the first place 4 x 200 relay as the Lady Lions won the Oil City Relays with 140 points. Barbe was second with 86.

Treanders Marzell Jr., Lafayette Christian boys track and field

The Knights scored 93 points to outpace Acadiana (82) in the Oil City Relays. Marzell won the 100 and 200 meters. Marzell, a senior with reported 4.32 speed in the 40-yard dash, also picked up his first track and field scholarship offer from Southern.

Blayde White, Highland Baptist baseball

White went a perfect 4-for-4 with a double and a triple in the Bears' 12-2 win over Lake Arthur. The Bears are 6-5 and No. 24 in the Division IV select power ratings.

Bailey Derveloy, Albany softball

Derveloy, a sophomore, hit her first two home runs of the season over the fence in the same game, on March 11. Then three days later, she hit three home runs in the same game, setting a single-game school record and a career best for Derveloy.
