Here are the candidates for SBLive Sports Maryland High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 15-21 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive's staff. Read through our notes on each nominee and then cast your vote in out poll.

Voting will conclude on Sunday, January 28th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced next week.

Here are this week's nominees:

Damon Breland, South Hagerstown: Breland had 11 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots in South Hagerstown’s 65-52 victory over Williamsport.

Deshaun Brown, Fort Hill: Brown scored 22 points (three 3-pointers) as the Sentinels defeated Boonsboro, 88-29.

Jah Donald, Westminster: Donald had 10 points, 11 rebounds and two blocked shots in Westminster’s 51-50 come-from-behind victory over Francis Scott Key.

James Hammond, Patterson Mill: Hammond posted 20 points and 10 rebounds in Patterson Mill’s 77-52 victory over Aberdeen.

James Kropp, Patterson Mill: Kropp finished with 25 points and four steals in Patterson Mill’s win over Aberdeen.

Brendan Luddy, Manchester Valley: Luddy had 22 points and four assists in Manchester Valley’s 54-51 victory over Century.

Oliver Rueckert, Fallston: Rueckert finished with 17 points and seven rebounds as Fallston defeated North Harford, 69-65.

Robert Ruch, Catoctin: Ruch finished with 27 points as Catoctin outlasted Brunswick, 62-60, in overtime.

Kishann Smith, Joppatowne: The sophomore had 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Mariners’ 78-51 victory over Bel Air.

Malik Washington, Archbishop Spalding: The junior forward had 18 points in Spalding’s 61-53 victory over Glenelg Country School.
