Here are the candidates for SBLive Sports Maryland High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week for February 26-March 2 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive's staff. Read through our notes on each nominee and then cast your vote in out poll.

Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 10th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced next week.

Here are this week's nominees:

Jael Erickson, Edgewood: The sophomore forward had 26 points in Edgewood’s 60-44 victory over Aberdeen in the Class 3A North Region II quarterfinals.

Ayla Galloway, Fallston: Galloway, a senior post, scored her 1,000th career point, finishing with 21 points, 14 rebounds and six assists in Fallston’s 51-11 victory over C. Milton Wright in the Class 2A East Region I semifinals.

Karlee Hawkins, South River: The junior forward finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds in South River’s 59-23 victory over Arundel in the Class 3A East Region I semifinals.

Maggie Lawrence, Chesapeake-Anne Arundel: The senior forward had 13 points , and 10 rebounds as Chesapeake defeated Mount Hebron, 42-35, in the Class 3A South I Region semifinals.

Princess Alexandria Moody, Bishop McNamara: Moody, a junior guard, had 21 points and four rebounds in McNamara’s 94-43 victory over Rosedale Christian in the opening round of the Maryland Private Schools State Tournament.

Caroline Nicholson, North Harford: The senior forward had 18 points and 16 rebounds in North Harford’s 40-38 victory over Harford Tech in the Class 2A East Region I quarterfinals.

Zoe Osby, St. Frances: The sophomore forward collected 19 points and 11 rebounds in St. Frances’ 63-57 win over Riverdale Baptist in the opening round of the Maryland Private Schools State Tournament.

J’niya Weaver, Mount Zion Prep: Weaver finished with 26 points and seven steals in Mount Zion’s 57-54 win over Elizabeth Seton in the opening round of the Maryland Private Schools State Tournament.

Ivann Wilson, Bullis: Wilson had 26 points and 15 rebounds in Bullis’ 69-64 victory over Holy Child in the opening round of the Maryland Private Schools State Tournament.

Ava Wooster, Southern: The senior had 12 points and 15 rebounds in Southern’s 66-31 victor over Poolesville in the Class 2A West Region II semifinals.
