TOWSON, MARYLAND – After splitting a pair of season-opening games in Texas, The Woodlands traveled to Maryland, Tuesday, to face one of the top lacrosse programs in nation, suffering a 16-6 loss to nationally ranked Calvert Hall.

The Cardinals, who scored 17 goals in their season-opening romp over Westtown (Pennsylvania), were back in high gear offensively on Tuesday, claiming a 16-6 win over the Highlanders.

Also scoring for Calvert Hall were Jack Williams, Matthew Schoonmaker and Ronan Butler, while Will Schwanke had an assist.

Alex Swartz was not test much in goal, but he did have three saves. Ben Cuomo made sure Calvert Hall dominated possession by winning 12-of-18 face-offs and Nick Pocalycko won 4-of-8.
