Congratulations to St. Mary's boys basketball point guard David Brown Jr. for being voted SBLive’s Massachusetts High School Athlete of the Week for Feb. 28-March 6!

The junior scored an impressive 40 points to lead the Spartans to a 94-60 win over Chelsea to advance to the round of 16.

Brown Jr. ran away with this week's honor, receiving 77.47% of the total vote.

Johnny Kinsley, Scituate boys basketball: Kinsley finished with 22 points to lead the Sailors to a 80-41 win over Revere.

Brendan Hirsch, Arlington boys hockey: Hirsch led the scoring attack with two goals in a 6-0 shutout win over Bishop Fenwick in the first round of the state tournament.

Dylan Marchand, Franklin boys hockey: Marchand recorded a hat-trick in a 6-2 win over Wellesley in the round of 32.

Luke Bott, St. Mary's boys hockey: Scored a goal in overtime to give St. Mary’s a 3-2 come-from-behind win over Chelmsford.

Caroline Barrett, Sandwich girls hockey: Barrett scored a goal in a 5-2 win over Burlington in the first round of the state tournament.

Sofia Balan, Billerica/Chelmsford girls hockey: Scored a goal in the final remaining seconds of overtime to give Billerica/Chelmsford a 4-3 win over Bishop Stang in the round of 32.

Maddie Rzepka, Reading girls hockey: Rzepka had Reading's lone goal to eliminate Cape Cod Furies in the round of 32.

Maddie McDonald, Norwell girls hockey: Recorded a hat trick in a 4-2 win over King Philip, snapping the Warriors’ nine-game winning streak.

Caroline Peper, Oliver Ames girls basketball: Peper dropped 30 points in a 79-36 win over North Middlesex in the MIAA state tournament.
