Sandwich boys hockey F Jack Connolly voted SBLive’s Massachusetts High School Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Sandwich boys hockey forward Jack Connolly for being voted SBLive’s Massachusetts High School Athlete of the Week for March 14-20!
The sophomore scored the winning goal in double-overtime to lift the Blue Knights over Watertown, 3-2, for the Division 4 state title.
Connolly ran away with this week's honor, receiving 87.78% of the total vote.

Tony Felder Jr., Malden Catholic boys basketball: The senior guard dropped 38 points to lead Malden Catholic to its first MIAA Division 2 state championship with a 95-40 win over Norwood.
Ali Barry and Omri Merryman, St. Mary's boys basketball: Barry and Merryman both scored 19 points in the Spartans' 71-40 Division 3 state title win over Watertown.
Kyle Monahan, Maynard boys basketball: Led Maynard with 22 points in the Division 5 state title game win over Paulo Freire.
Michael Munroe, Hanover boys hockey: The freshman scored two goals and had two assists to lead Hanover past Marlborough, 5-3, for the Division 3 state championship.
Mallory Farrell, Algonquin girls hockey: Farrell scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lead Algonquin past Canton for the Division 2 state title.
Jasmyn Cooper, Oliver Ames girls basketball: The sophomore had a double-double (22 points, 10 rebounds) in the Tigers' 53-48 Division 2 state championship win over Norwood.
Amany Lopez, Springfield Central girls basketball: Lopez scored 16 points to lift the Golden Eagles past Andover, 43-40, in the Division 1 state title game.
Kellyn Preira, St. Mary's girls basketball: The junior had 16 points and seven blocks-including a game-tying blocked shot to avoid overtime- in the Spartans' 46-44 Division 3 state championship win over Rockland.
Isabel Hulse, Austin Prep girls hockey: The senior scored the game-sealing goal with 52 seconds remaining to put the finishing touch on Austin Prep's perfect season (27-0-0) with a Division 1 state title win over Arlington.
