The Bulldogs held on to defeat the Big Reds
ROMEO, Mich. — Romeo High School defeated Chippewa Valley 21-17 Friday night at Romeo High School.
The game remained scoreless for much of the first half, but Romeo running back Tyler Pressel scored to give the Bulldogs a 6-3 lead headed into halftime.
Pressel scored again early in the third quarter, and Santino Palazzolo converted the 2-point attempt.
Chippewa Valley scored a rushing touchdown to cut the lead to 14-10, but the Bulldogs scored again shortly after.
The Big Reds ran for a touchdown to cut the lead to 21-17 early in the fourth quarter. It was not enough as the Bulldog defense held steady.
