Tommy Roenicke, Freeland High School

Senior forward Tommy Roenicke put on a performance for Freeland in its 3-2 win over Ogemaw Heights. Roenicke finished the game with a hat trick.

Owen Steinbrink, Roscommon High School

Senior Owen Steinbrink had two top performances for Roscommon this past week. Steinbrink finished with two goals and one assist in a 5-1 win over Oscoda on Tuesday night. Steinbrink then finished with one goal and one assist against Tawas Area in a 3-2 win on Thursday night.

Matthew Skelton, Faith Christian

Senior striker Matthew Skelton had a big performance for Faith Christian in its dominant 8-0 win over Bethany Christian. Skelton finished the game completing a hat trick as he scored three goals in the win.

Trevin Johnson, State Line Christian

Senior Trevin Johnson had an impactful performance for State Line Christian to lead it to a 2-1 win over Bloomfield Christian. Johnson finished the game responsible for both of State Line Christian’s points as he had one goal and one assist in the win.

Kendall Morris, Frankenmuth High School

Senior striker and forward Kendall Morris had a huge performance for Frankenmuth to lead it to a 8-0 win over Croswell-Lexington. Morris finished the game with a hat trick while adding two assists.

Cecelia Pelak, Mattawan

Senior Cecelia Pelak had a big performance for Mattawan in its 2-3 loss to Gull Lake. Pelak finished the match with 20 kills, one serving ace, three total blocks and 14 digs.

Harmony Laker, Wayland High School

Sophomore outside hitter Harmony Laker played well for Wayland despite its 1-3 loss to Catholic Central. Laker finished the match with 20 kills, one serving ace, and 11 digs.

Cece Jilek, Portage Central High School

Senior Cece Jilek had a huge performnace for Portage Central to help them to a 3-2 win over Lakeview. Jilek finished the match with 21 kills, five serving aces, two total blocks and 14 digs.

Mary Schantz, Cabrini High School

Senior Mary Schantz had a big performance in Cabrini’s 3-0 win over Taylor Prep. Schantz finished the match with 17 kills, three serving aces and 16 digs in the win.

Seth Marek, Petoskey High School

Sophomore wide receiver Seth Marek had a big performance for Petoskey in its 26-13 win over Marquette. Marek finished the game with six receptions for 112 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.

Shamar Riser-Pressley, Clintondale High School

Junior defensive end and tight end Shamar Riser-Pressley also had a big performance for Clintondale in its 20-17 win over Richmond. Riser-Pressley finished the game six receptions for 100 receiving yards and one touchdown. He also compiling nine total tackles and one tackle for loss on the defensive side.

Mitchell Rivard, L’Anse Creuse

Senior wide receiver Mitchell Rivard had a huge performance in L’Anse Creuse’s 56-14 win over L’Anse Creuse North. Rivard finished the game with four receptions for 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Cavanaugh Diton, Clarkston High School

Senior middle linebacker Cavanaugh Diton had a big performance for Clarkston in its 50-14 win over Oak Park. Diton finished the game with seven total tackles, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble and two pass deflections.

Marcello Vitti, Divine Child

Freshman running back and safety Marcello Vitti had himself a performance for Divine Child as it defeated East English Villiage Prep,47-6. Vitti finished the game with 84 rushing yards on 11 attempts and two rushing touchdowns, while also compiling six total tackles on the defensive side.

NaQuante Thompson, Clintondale High School

NaQuante Thompson had a huge performance for Clintondale on Friday night. Thompson finished the game with 28 total tackles, which tied Clintondale’s record books for most tackles in a game.

Jack Bakus, Midland Dow High School

Junior quarterback and defensive end Jack Bakus had a big performance for Midland Dow in its 14-6 loss to in-town rival Midland. Bakus finished the game completing 10 of his 18 passes for 153 passing yards and one passing touchdown, while also rushing for 49 yards. On the defensive side, Bakus compiled eight tackles, one tackle for loss, and one interception.

Jobe Benschoter, Tecumseh High School

Senior tight end and defensive end Jobe Benschoter had himself a performance for Tecumseh in its 47-6 win over Bay City John Glenn. Benschoter finished the game with eight receptions for 142 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns, and on the defensive side, six tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble.

Preston Otter, Saginaw Nouvel

Junior quarterback Preston Otter continues to impress as he had a huge performance for Saginaw Nouvel in its 41-8 win over Burton Bendle. Otter finished the game completing 13 of his 16 passes for 256 passing yards and five passing touchdowns, while also rushing for 51 yards on five attempts.
