Boys’ Basketball

Alec Wake, Northland

The senior guard scored 25 points in a 70-61 win at Chisholm on December 20 and scored another 26 points and delivered nine assists in a 77-58 win over Mountain Iron-Buhl on December 22. His 203 total points are third-most in the state, and his 61 assists are second-most. He leads the state with 36 steals, according to MNbasketballhub.

Colton Benson, New Ulm

The junior forward had 31 points in an 87-68 win over Redwood Valley on December 20 and 27 points in a 64-56 win over St. Clair on December 27. His 29.2 points-per-game scoring average is sixth-best in Minnesota.

Tameron Ferguson, St. Cloud Tech

The junior point guard scored 40 points and had nine steals in an 88-37 rout at St. Cloud Apollo on December 20. His 30.2 points per game average ranks fifth in the state.

The senior forward had 19 points and 17 rebounds in an 85-64 win at Farmington, December 20. His 13.6 rebounds per game ranks fifth in Minnesota, and his 68 rebounds are sixth-most.

Henry Erickson, Windom

The senior point guard had a double-double, with 23 points and 11 assists in a 91-80 loss to Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunberg on December 27. He was one assist shy of another double-double in a 77-60 loss to Worthington on December 20. His 55 assists are third-most in the state.

Girls’ Basketball

Jocelyn Land, Holy Family

The forward scored 24 points and gathered eight rebounds in a 51-49 win over Annandale on December 20. She also had an assist and a block in the game. Her 193 points scored are fourth-most in Minnesota.

Tori Oehrlein, Crosby-Ironton

The freshman was two steals shy of a triple-double in a 91-35 thumping of Moose Lake-Willow River on December 20. She scored 35 points and had 11 assists. Her 26.8 scoring average is fifth-best in the state.

Anna Stromberg, Legacy Christian

The junior forward came two blocks short of a triple-double in a heartbreaking 46-45 loss at West Lutheran on December 20. She had 20 points and 25 rebounds. She also scored 28 points in a thumping of Hiawatha Collegiate on December 27. She leads Minnesota in rebounds, rebounds per game, and is fourth in blocks.

Maci Farmer, Jackson County Central

The senior wing had 19 points, 14 boards, five steals and four assists in a 64-55 win over Waterville-Elysian-Morristown on December 20. Her 26.4 points-per-game scoring average is tied for seventh-best in the state.

Maddyn Greenway, Providence Academy

In an 81-45 rout at Mounds Park Academy on December 20, the freshman guard was three assists shy of a triple-double and four steals shy of a quadruple double. She had 33 points and 10 rebounds to go with her seven assists and six steals. She leads all of Minnesota with a 31.7 points-per-game scoring average.
