HORN LAKE — Jamorris Hopson caught a touchdown pass, threw for a touchdown and scored another on the ground as Horn Lake erased a halftime deficit to beat Olive Branch 23-10 Thursday night.

The win moved Horn Lake to 3-0 in the region,

Both defenses played tremendous throughout the night, with neither team reaching 225 yards of total offense.

Olive Branch built it's first-half lead on Amarion Gray's 6-yard fumble return for a touchdown and a 20-yard field goal off the foot of Kyle Morris.

Hopson attempted only one pass in the whole game, but it came at the right time. He found receiver Jamarion Bobo for a 34-yard touchdown pass late in the second quarter to pull the Eagles (3-2) within four at 10-6 at the halftime break.

Jamario Harris gave Horn Lake the lead early in the third quarter with a 17-yard touchdown run.

Hopson put the game away with touchdowns on back-to-back drives. The first was a 33-yard touchdown run and the second was a 24-yard pass from quarterback Trinton Conder.

Hopson finished the night with a game-highs in rushing, with 10 carries for 76 yards, and receiving, with four catches for 54 yards.

Olive Branch rushed for 180 yards as a team. Both teams committed three turnovers.

The Conquistadors (3-2) fell to 1-2 in Region 1 games. Olive Branch returns to action Oct. 16 against Southaven in the "Backyard Brawl" game. Horn Lake will travel to face undefeated Oxford next week.
