The 2022 MHSAA soccer season is in the books after an exciting weekend at the state championships. SBLive Mississippi's Tyler Cleveland and soccer reporter Dylan Tribolet have selected the top players from across the Magnolia State to be included in SBLive's 2022 All-State soccer teams. Here's a look at the girls honorees. Congratulations to all our selections!

FIRST TEAM ALL-STATE

Forwards

Kate Smith, Gulfport
The reigning Mississippi Gatorade Player of the year had another outstanding season for Gulfport High School scoring 33 goals while assisting on another 21.

Olivia Tribolet, Madison Central
The Central Mississippi All-Star forward lead her team in points playing a part in 27 goals in Madison Central’s run to the 6A North State Title game.

Tailynn Remmel, Clinton
The Holmes Community College signee is one of the fastest players in the state and she uses that speed well. She led her team in scoring with 14 goals including 2 playoff goals on Clinton’s run to the 6A State Championship game. 

Midfielders

Taylor Stewart, Oak Grove
The Southern Miss signee was a danger from everywhere on the field this year. The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star led her team in goals and was a key contributor in their regional championship. 

Hudson Lindsay, Lafayette
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star was a major player on the 5A State Champion runner-up scoring a goal in the 5A State Championship along with 14 others throughout the season. 

Shaelynn Quick, Florence
The Southern Miss signee put her stamp on an incredible season scoring a goal in the 5A State Championship game that Florence won. She was key to her team’s success all season contributing 17 goals and 17 assists in total. 

KK Morris, Northwest Rankin
The leading scored for the 6A State Champion Northwest Rankin. Morris tallied 26 goals on the year and was selected the Central Mississippi All-Star team. 

Defenders

Layla Johnson, Gulfport
Gulfport’s undefeated regular season came in large part thanks to a phenomenal defense led by the Southern Miss signee which gave up just 10 regular season goals.

Mallory Tapper, Northwest Rankin
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star was arguably the best defender in the state and led her team to the 6A State Championship title. The Southern Miss signee even managed to contribute 8 goals on the season from her defensive position.

Emily Welch, Northwest Rankin
The Southern Miss signee was a major player in the Lady Cougars 15 shutouts this season. She also contributed on 11 goals on the season and will compete in the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star game. 

Goalkeeper

Sarah Polk, Clinton
The Central Mississippi All-Star kept opposing teams off the board on 10 separate occasions this season and made several big saves throughout her teams run to the 6A State Championship game.

SECOND TEAM ALL-STATE

Forwards

Julia Perkins, Lafayette
The North Mississippi All-Star found herself on the score 27 different times this season and was a major player in Lafayette’s run to the 5A State Championship game. 

Sammi Jo Doyle, New Albany
The forward for the 5A State Champion runner up had a fantastic season scoring 28 goals in total on the season. 

Addie Grace Barnard, Florence
The Central Mississippi All-Star lead the 5A State Champion in scoring with 26 goals on the year.

Midfielders

Anna Wheatley, Madison Central
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star had a great final season playing a part in 14 goals for the 6A North State runner up. 

Parker St. Amant, Ocean Springs
The Coast All-Star led the attack for a talented Ocean Springs teams collecting 22 goals and 10 assists on the season. The 10th grader was a key contributor to the South State runner ups.

Christina Guzman, Florence
The junior midfielder was always a danger near goal contributing on 31 goals for the Lady Eagles this season in her team’s run to the 5A State Championship title. 

Briley Ross, Lewisburg
The Bethel University commit led the way on a talented Lewisburg team scoring 29 goals on the season. 

Defenders

Alexis Trimble, Oxford
The senior defender was an anchor in the back for the Lady Chargers playing a major role in their 10 shutout performances and led her team to a regional championship.

Walker Cantrell, Tupelo
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star thwarted many attacks this year for the Lady Golden Wave keeping opposing teams scoreless on 10 different occasions. 

Raylin Dixon, Brandon
The Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star did a bit of everything for the Lady Bulldogs this year but her biggest contributions came as a powerful central defender. 

Goalkeeper

Kaitlyn Urbanek, Oxford
The junior goalkeeper led one of the best defenses in the state posting a clean sheet on 10 separate occasions.
