SOFTBALL

Delaney Perry, Enterprise: The sophomore went 4-for-8 at the plate with two singles, a double, an in the park home run, and had six RBIs to help send Enterprise past Southeast and into the state championship game. 

Jolie Hays, Northwest Rankin: The sophomore pitcher struck out 11 batters in leading the Cougars to a 5-0 win over Petal in the 6A playoffs. 

Ann Elise Duncan, North Pike: The freshman pitcher went the distance in North Pike's 3-0 game two 4A South State series win over Sumrall - scattering five hits and striking out seven batters. 

Anna Grace Whitehead, Kosciusko: The sophomore pitcher led Kosciusko to a North State title with a 16-6 win over West Lauderdale - striking out six batters and had two doubles at the plate. 

KeKe Nash, Vardaman: Nash had a base-clearing triple to help the Lady Rams beat Wheeler, 9-5, for the North Half championship. 

BASEBALL

Drew Lambert, Madison Ridgeland Academy: Lambert tossed six innings, scattering four hits, allowed no runs, and had three strikeouts to help send MRA back to the MAIS Class 6A state championship with a 7-3 series-clinching win over Jackson Academy.

Evan McCarthy, Saltillo: McCarthy hit two home runs in extra innings, including the go-ahead grand slam in the 11th to lift Saltillo past Neshoba Central, 6-3, in game one of the 5A North State Championship.

Bryson Jones, Northwest Rankin: Jones, who came in as a pinch-runner in the bottom of the seventh, stole third base and scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch to give the Cougars a 7-6, series-clinching win over rival Brandon in the 6A South finals. 

Bradley Loftin, DeSoto Central: The Mississippi State signee struck out nine batters in seven innings to record the win in DeSoto Central's 6-3 6A North Championship series opener victory over Oxford.

Andrew Knight, Sumrall: Knight recorded the win on the mound with 10 strikeouts, allowed no earned runs, and scattered three hits in the Bobcats' series sweep of Northeast Jones for their second straight 4A South State title.
