Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Mississippi High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 3-10 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Bray Hubbard, Ocean Springs

Completed 11 of his 15 passes for 215 yards and four touchdowns and ran the ball 15 times for 112 yards and one score in a 48-28 win over Biloxi.

Conner Armstrong, Pontotoc

Completed 17 of 24 passes for 229 yards and one touchdown and ran for 80 yards and three more scores in a 38-26 win over South Pontotoc.

Omarion Blakes, McEvans

Ran for 103 yards and two touchdowns on offense and got credit for nine tackles on defense in a 26-14 win over Simmons.

Dillon Brown, Hattiesburg

Ran the ball 30 times for 209 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-21 win over Florence.

Jakobe Calvin, Clinton

Ran the ball 30 times for 164 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-31 win over Madison Central.

Isaac Day, West Tallahatchie

Ran for 188 yards and five touchdowns in a 50-0 win over Coldwater.

Jathan Hatch, Biggersville

Ran the ball seven times for 156 yards and two touchdowns and picked off two passes on defense, including a pick-six, in a 54-0 win over Smithville.

Antonio Kennedy, Choctaw County

Ran the ball 22 times for 244 yards with three touchdowns, blocked a punt and recovered a fumble in a 40-14 win over East Webster.

Carson Smith, West Lauderdale

Was credited with 13 tackles, five sacks and one pass break-up in a 27-0 win over Kosciusko.

Lamar Stewart, Noxubee County

Completed 11 of 15 passes for 292 yards and five touchdowns on offense and picked off two passes on defense in a 44-7 win over Kemper County.

Elijah Wofford, Eupora

Was credited with 19 tackles, two sacks and picked off one pass in a 30-18 win over Calhoun City.
