TUPELO — Makhi Myles was at it again Friday night.
Starkville’s splendid forward scored 33 points to help the Yellowjackets get past Tupelo 66-62.
The win, combined with Tuesday’s 61-52 win over the Golden Wave, gave Starkville (19-4) the series sweep over Tupelo and cemented their spot atop the Region 1 standings with a perfect 4-0 record.
Myles was the star again, but Starkville got big contributions from Jonathan Baker, who finished with eight points, and Connor Rogers, who scored all nine of his points in the fourth quarter. Robers knocked down five key free throws in the final minutes.
