SBLive Missouri Top 25 high school girls basketball rankings: Little shift as teams advance in district play

Incarnate Word remains atop the SBLive Missouri girls Top 25 power rankings after continuing its winning streak last week and advancing to the district semifinal this week. There has not been a lot of movement in the list as most teams have advanced to the state tournament with victories. 

1. Incarnate Word Academy (25-0)

The Red Knights extended their winning streak to 64 games after winning their first two district games and will play Howell Central in the final Friday evening.

2. Whitfield (21-3)

The Warriors have won 13 straight games and will play MICDS in the district final Friday evening.

3. West Plains (23-4)

The Zizzers opened district play with a win over Marshfield and will take on Rolla in the district final Friday night.

4. Rock Bridge (26-1)

The Bruins opened district play with a pair of wins and will play Blue Springs South in the final on Thursday night.

5. Strafford (22-5)

The Indians won their district with a win over Skyline and will play Clever in the sectional Wednesday night.

6. Kickapoo (21-3)

The Lady Chiefs won a pair of district games and will play Nixa in the final Friday night.

7. Southern Boone (22-3)

The Eagles open district action against Blair Oaks Wednesday night.

8. El Dorado Springs (25-3)

The Bulldogs won their district and will take on Lone Jack in the sectionals Wednesday night.

9. Webster Groves (22-5)

The Statesmen opened district play with a win over Nerinx Hall and will play Lift for Life in the final Saturday afternoon.

10. Ellington (22-4)

The Lady Whippets won their district with a win over Alton and will take on Naylor in the sectional Wednesday night.

11. Nixa (23-4)

The Lady Eagles have won 10 straight and will play Kickapoo in the district final Friday night.

12. St. Charles West (20-4)

The Warriors opened district play with a win over Wright City and will play Orchard Farm in the final Thursday night.

13. Chillicothe (23-4)

The Lady Hornets won their district opener against Lafayette (St. Joe’s) and will take on Benton in the final Thursday night.

14. Blue Springs South (23-4)

The Jaguars extended their winning streak to nine games and will play Rock Bridge in the district final Thursday night.

15. North Platte (18-9)

The Panthers fell in the district opening round to Plattsburg to end their season.

16. Leeton (23-2)

The Lady Bulldogs won their district and then defeated Pilot Grove in the sectional to advance to the quarterfinal to take on Marion County Saturday.

17. Farmington (17-3)

The Knights won their district opener against Windsor and will play Sikeston in the semifinal Wednesday night.

18. Cape Notre Dame (18-6)

The Bulldogs opened district play with a win over Hillsboro and will take on North County in the semi’s Wednesday night.

19. Skyline (20-7)

The Lady Tigers defeated Spokane in the district opener before falling to Strafford in the final to end their season.

20. Miller (23-3)

The Cardinals defeated College Heights for the district crown and will play Blue Eye in the sectionals Wednesday night.

21. Blue Eye (24-5)

The Lady Bulldogs are currently on an 11-game winning streak after winning their district and will play Miller in the sectional Wednesday night.

22. John Burroughs (17-4)

The Bombers are on an 11-game winning streak and will play Metro League rival Westminster Friday night in the district final. 

23. Wellington-Napoleon (24-2)

The Tigers won their district with a victory over Archie and will take on Marion C. Early in the sectional Wednesday night.

24. Eureka (20-6)

The Wildcats opened district play with a victory over Waynesville and will take on St. Joe’s Academy in the semi’s Thursday night.

25. South Iron (26-1)

The Lady Panthers won their district with a victory over Lesterville before defeating Chadwick in the sectional. They will take on Delta in the state quarterfinals Saturday afternoon.
