Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Missouri high school athlete of the week for April 25-May 1. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. If you would like to make a nomination in a future week, email nate@scorebooklive.com.

Reese Potts, Duchesne girls soccer

Potts, a sophomore goalkeeper, tallied eight saves en route to the Pioneers nabbing a 3-1 win over Orchard Farm in the title game of the Orchard Farm Invitational.

Kayley Lenger, Liberty North girls track and field

Lenger, a senior, blew away the competition at the Platte County Invitational, winning the javelin with a throw of 149 feet, 3 ¼ inches. The thrower in second was more than 40 feet away.

Alex Winsor, Portageville baseball

Winsor, a senior, went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs to help lead Portageville to a 23-6 win over Kelly.

Kevin Potthast, Parkway South boys water polo

Potthast was half of the Panthers’ dominance during an 18-4 win over Pattonville, forcing six goals into the back of the net.

Dylan Bader, Malden baseball

Bader was the difference in Malden’s 5-3 win over Bernie last Tuesday, as the senior blasted two home runs.

Addison Holm, Wentzville girls lacrosse

Wentzville fended off Francis Howell, 12-11, and the sophomore played a key part in that by netting six goals.

Ryan Seabaugh, Cape Central boys track and field

Seabaugh, a junior, notched first place in both the 1,600- and 800-meter runs. He also finished third in the 3,200, which led to him being named the Most Valuable Track Athlete at the SEMO Conference Championships last Friday.

Nolan Folks, Holt baseball

Folks, a junior, threw a complete game while dealing 62 pitches for four hits, eight strikeouts and only two runs during Holt’s 8-2 win over Francis Howell Central.

Nate Kemp, St. Dominic’s baseball

The senior pitcher went 5 ⅔ innings during a 4-2 win over Borgia, striking out nine and walking five while allowing a pair of runs on five hits.

Aleks Terzic, Parkway South boys water polo

The senior was the second half of the Panthers’ dominance during their 14-goal win over Pattonville last Friday, tallying six goals.

William Wolfe, Webb City boys track and field

Wolfe, a junior, leaped to a first-place mark of 6-foot-3 ½ in the high jump at the Webb City Invitational.

Sydney Ward, Carl Junction girls track and field

Ward, just a freshman, stole first place in the 200-meter dash with a blazing run of 25.66 seconds at the Webb City Invitational.

Jordan Orr, Eureka boys volleyball

Orr, a senior, tallied 42 assists and seven kills to help lead Eureka to a four-set win over Oakville last Thursday.

Audrey Smith, Fort Zumwalt South girls soccer

Smith, a sophomore, netted an eventual game-winning goal with roughly 17 minutes left in regulation to help Fort Zumwalt South nab a 2-1 win over Lafayette.

Cole Horton, Savannah boys tennis

Horton, just a sophomore, ran through the field at the MEC Tennis Championships last Wednesday before sweeping the title game 6-1, 6-0.

Charles Kinslow, West Platte boys track and field

Kinslow, a junior, finished the 800-meter dash with a first-place time of 1 minute and 58.3 seconds, breaking a school record that had stood since the 1960s.

Caden Bogenpohl, Jackson baseball

Bogenpohl, a junior pitcher, went 6 ⅔ innings while only allowing four hits and striking out 13 batters during Jackson’s 7-3 win over Poplar Bluff on Saturday. He hit a two-run home run, too.

Kenzie Ogden, Sikeston girls soccer

The sophomore used a soft touch to put a ball into the ball of the net with less than a minute remaining in overtime during Sikeston’s 3-2 win over Hillsboro.

Jackson Queen, Carthage baseball

Queen, a junior catcher, hit a walk-off RBI single with two outs to give Carthage an 8-7 win over Joplin last Saturday.

Micah Lindsey, Carthage boys track and field

Lindsey took home first place in two events at the Girard Track and Field Invitational. The junior won both the discus (130-09) and shot put (50-1.5).

Honor Mannings, Lafayette (St. Joseph) girls track and field

Mannings, a sophomore, finished the 200-meter dash at the Maryville Invitational with a first-place time of 27.68 seconds.
