By Chris Geinosky

Here’s a look at the Week 7 results for the teams in the SBLive Missouri Power 25.

1. Christian Brothers College (6-1) defeated Vianney 64-6

Quarterbacks Cole McKey and Jason Wiley tossed three touchdown passes each, leading the Cadets to a season-high point total. McKey’s 66-yarder to Corey Simms opened the scoring just 22 seconds into the game, and the points just kept coming. Dakotah Mayo hauled in a pair of touchdown receptions, while Jeremiah McClellan, Bryce Parson and Cameron Griffin-Horst all caught TDs in the first half, helping CBC run out to a 50-6 halftime lead.

2. Liberty North (7-0) defeated Blue Springs South 41-7

The Eagles took all the excitement out of this one early. Kaden Durso’s 31-yard pick six on the second play from scrimmage started a landslide of points, and when the offense scored two touchdowns on its first three snaps of the night, Liberty North led 21-0 less than four minutes into the game. Xavier Horn hauled in two touchdowns, while MicahJo Barnett and Hayden Davidson rushed for scores as the Eagles led 35-0 at halftime.

3. Lee’s Summit North (6-1) defeated Liberty 28-6

It wasn’t the Broncos most dominant effort of the season, but it was a convincing win all the same. Tanner Howes rushed 14 times for 101 yards and a five-yard touchdown that made the score 21-3 early in the fourth quarter. Quincey Baker carried 12 times for 55 yards and a score that gave Lee’s Summit North a 7-3 lead in the first quarter. Jamir Conn put the game away with a 98-yard scoop-and-score with three minutes left.

4. St. Mary’s (6-1) defeated No. 8 De Smet Jesuit 45-14

After last week’s announcement that St. Mary’s plans to close its doors at the end of the school year, the Dragons went on to clobber De Smet in what might be the program’s final regular-season home game ever. Twin brothers Jamal and John Roberts each rushed for more than 100 yards. Chase Hendricks scored two touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving. The defense was incredible, forcing four turnovers in the game and racking up seven sacks.

5. Nixa (7-0) defeated Willard 63-18

As expected, the Eagles whipped up on winless Willard. Standout running back Ramone Green Jr. scored four touchdowns, leading yet another impressive performance by the offense. Nixa has scored at least 42 points in six of seven games this season, the only exception being the 22-21 victory against Carthage back in Week 3. The Eagles have even dialed it up a notch recently, averaging 56 points per game over the past month.

6. Francis Howell (7-0) defeated No. 21 Timberland 49-14

The Vikings turned a St. Louis area showdown of ranked teams into a complete smackdown. Howell led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter on a pair of touchdown runs by Brady Hultman and stretched the lead to 35-0 by halftime thanks to a pair of touchdown passes by Adam Shipley and a TD run by Jaylen Pearson. Kendall Gurley scored twice, hauling in a touchdown reception and returning a punt to the house.

7. Carthage (6-1) defeated No. 20 Webb City 28-14

In a rematch of last year’s district championship game, the Tigers got their revenge by holding off the Cardinals. Carthage fell behind 7-0 but rallied to take a 28-7 lead into the locker room at halftime behind four rushing touchdowns from running back Luke Gall, who finished with 182 rushing yards on 29 carries. The two-way superstar also collected a team-high 12 tackles on defense as well.

8. De Smet (3-4) lost to No. 4 St. Mary’s 45-17

The Spartans were no match for the defending state champion Dragons. De Smet trailed 17-0 at halftime and eventually trailed 38-0 in the third quarter before finally putting some points on the scoreboard. Sophomore QB Dillon Duff threw two touchdown passes in the second half, one to Cameron Wright and one to Allen Willis, to break up the shutout.

9. Cardinal Ritter (7-0) defeated Lift for Life Academy 50-0

Sophomore quarterback Carson Boyd tossed five touchdown passes – two to his older brother, Ryan Boyd, and two to Michigan commit Fredrick Moore – to lead host Cardinal Ritter to a turbo-clock victory on Saturday afternoon.

10. Lebanon (7-0) defeated West Plains 45-42

This Ozark Conference showdown lived up to the billing as the wild, back-and-forth game featured seven lead changes. Lebanon trailed by two touchdowns early in the game but came storming back behind five touchdowns from running back Cade Muscia. The Yellowjackets recovered an onside kick with 90 seconds left to secure the victory, setting up a huge matchup with Camdenton next week.

11. Kearney (7-0) defeated Raytown South 53-12

Another week, another convincing win for the Bulldogs, who have posted four consecutive mercy-rule victories (by at least 35 points). Cameron Emmons needed only 10 carries to rack up 121 yards and score a pair of touchdowns. Casey Rooney passed for 129 yards and two scores and also rushed for a touchdown.

12. Joplin (6-1) defeated Carl Junction 35-7

As it turned out, the Eagles scored 27 first-quarter points and put it on cruise control from there, rolling to a homecoming victory. The Joplin defense forced a pair of turnovers in the first quarter and turned them into touchdowns – a 6-yard pass from Hobbs Gooch to Terrance Gibson and 12-yard run by Chavis Coleman. The score was 21-zip just five minutes into the game.

13. Smithville (6-1) defeated Winnetonka 63-0

In a game featuring two programs heading in exactly opposite directions, the Warriors took care of business as expected. Smithville scored a season-high 63 points and recorded the team’s second consecutive shutout. The last time the Warriors cracked the 60-point barrier came back in the 2019 season.

14. Eureka (6-1) lost to Lafayette (Wildwood) 20-13

Running back Kevin Emmanuel carried the ball 38 times for 153 yards, but he failed to score a touchdown for the first time in any game this season, which led to the Wildcats’ first loss of the year. Eureka led 13-7 at halftime behind two field goals from Bryce Clark, but was outscored 13-0 in the second half, snapping a six-game winning streak against Lafayette.

15. Troy Buchanan (5-2) defeated Francis Howell North 49-21

Backup quarterback Hunter Keene rushed for three touchdowns in the game, and Lebron Matthews had a pair of touchdown runs in the Trojans’ homecoming win. Up 20-7 late in the third quarter, Troy scored 29 points in the game’s final 15 minutes. Nick Bova had a 90-yard kickoff return, and Trintin Gipson scooped up an onside kick and took it 48 yards to paydirt to close out the scoring.

16. Blair Oaks (7-0) defeated Eldon 76-22

Brady Kerperin opened the floodgates with a 3-yard touchdown run less than two minutes into the game, as the Falcons went on to score 35 first-quarter points and eventually a single-game, season-high 76. Dylan Hair put on another show as he tossed five touchdown passes – three to Adam Hall – and also rushed for a 47-yard score.

17. MICDS (6-1) defeated Lutheran South 54-13

The Rams bounced back from their first loss of the season with a dominant win against visiting Lutheran South on Saturday.

18. Camdenton (7-0) defeated Hillcrest 63-22

Quarterback Bear Shore did the damage with his legs this week, rushing for 159 yards and four touchdowns and leading Camdenton to a blowout victory against winless Hillcrest. The Lakers’ offense has been firing on all cylinders recently, scoring over 50 points in three of the past four games as they head into a winner-take-all Ozark Conference clash with undefeated Lebanon.

19. Valle Catholic (7-0) defeated Ste. Genevieve 63-7

For the fourth time in seven games this season, Valle Catholic reached the 60-point plateau. The Warriors have scored at least 40 points in every game, and they put up 48 in the first half alone, knocking off town rival Ste. Genevieve for the 10th time in the past 11 meetings. Chase Fallert’s 35-yard touchdown pass to Isaac Basler two minutes into the game started the onslaught.

20. Webb City (4-3) lost to No. 7 Carthage 28-14

A team that had scored more than 100 points in the past two games combined, the Cardinals mustered only a pair of scoring drives and 205 yards of total offense against a stingy Carthage defense. Breckin Galardo rushed 10 times for 58 yards and scored both of Webb City’s touchdowns.

21. Timberland (5-2) lost to No. 6 Francis Howell 49-14

After starting the season with five consecutive victories, the Wolves have been blown out by ranked teams the past two games: by 32 points against Troy Buchanan last week and by 35 against Francis Howell this week. Timberland has fallen behind big in each of the losses.

22. Holt (6-1) defeated Ft. Zumwalt East 58-13

Ty Williams returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown to ignite the Indians from the start. Williams caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Owen Merrell, and then Conrad King made it 21-0 late in the first quarter with a 14-yard touchdown run. Holt continued to pour it on and led 58-0 at halftime, clinching the Gateway Athletic Conference Central Division title.

23. Seneca (7-0) defeated East Newton 56-7

Ethan Altic ran for a 66-yard touchdown on the Indians first play from scrimmage and the rout was on. Jackson Marrs added a pair of touchdown runs, and Seneca raced out to a 35-0 lead by halftime, inducing the running clock for the duration of the second half. This marks the third straight game of 50-plus points for the Indians.

24. Lamar (6-1) defeated Nevada 47-26

Filling in for injured starting quarterback Joel Beshore, backup Alex Wilkerson completed 8-of-12 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown and rushed 20 times for 92 yards and two more scores. His older brother, Austin Wilkerson, rushed 13 times for 79 yards and scored four touchdowns.

25. Lutheran North (5-2) defeated Maryville 36-29

The Crusaders went on the road to Macon and defeated the Spoofhounds after blocking a late field goal attempt and returning the fumble for a touchdown.
