Versailles' Ryder Williams voted SBLive's Missouri High School Athlete of the Week (Jan. 30-Feb. 4)

Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Versailles' Ryder Williams, who was voted SBLive's Missouri high school Athlete of the Week (Jan. 30-Feb. 4). He received more than 59 percent of the votes.

Williams, a junior, poured in 50 points and hit nine 3-pointers in an 83-77 win over Osage.

Park Hill South swimmer Natalie Dunaway finished second in the voting.

Arhmad Branch, Festus boys basketball

The recent Purdue football signee scored 51 points in 105-102 loss to Hillsboro in triple overtime.

Haley Brooks, Holden girls wrestling

Posted a 4-0 mark at the Thundering Herd Invitational in Buffalo, winning first place at the 105-pound class and improving to 44-3 on the year. The Eagles won the team title as well.

Jade Brunidge, Savannah girls wrestling

She improved to 35-4 on the year with three pins to take first place in the 100-pound division at the Winnetonka Girls Tournament this weekend.

Bailey Burns, Lee’s Summit West girls basketball

The senior shooting guard went over 1,000 career points this week for the Lady Titans. She is the sixth girls player in her school history to accomplish that feat.

Nic Burri, Greenwood Laboratory School boys basketball

Recorded a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds to help the Blue Jays beat College Heights Christian, 68-58, in the championship game of the Mercy/McAuley Classic in Joplin.

Akaela Caquelin, Newburg girls basketball

The sophomore earned Most Valuable Player honors after scored 13, 13 and 12 points in three games to help the Lady Wolves take first place in the Newburg Invitational.

Cahmai Crosby, Park Hill South boys basketball

The 6-foot-3 senior point guard became the school’s sixth 1,000th-point scorer on Friday.

Kennard Davis Jr., Vashon boys basketball

Davis, a Southern Illinois-Carbondale signee, tallied 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Wolverines beat Chicago Simeon, the top-ranked team in Illinois. He was named the game’s MVP at the Bank of O’Fallon Shootout.

Natalie Dunaway, Park Hill South girls swimming

Took first place at the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference Silver Division championship in the 50-yard freestyle.

Carli Ellis, Harrisburg girls basketball

The senior joined the 1,000th-point club in a game against Knox County on Jan. 31.

Brenden Fine, Lathrop boys basketball

In a double-overtime loss, 80-78, Fine dropped in a game-high 23 points for the Mules.

Spencer Fleming, Francis Howell Central wrestling

The senior picked up career win No. 100 this weekend for the Spartans. He is a 285-pound wrestler.

Eric Franklin, Kansas City Center boys wrestling

The senior captain recorded a school record 15 takedowns in a match on Saturday.

Kara Good, Blue Springs South swimming

Helped the 200-yard medley relay take first place and later added a title in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference Gold Division meet.

Justin Goolsby, Columbia Battle boys basketball

The 6-4 senior eclipsed 1,000 career points this week, just days after signing to play football at Division II William Jewell.

Kyle Hagemeyer, Calvary Lutheran boys basketball

Scored 28 points in a 72-68 win over Kansas City Lutheran on Friday in the Calvary Lutheran Tournament. That helped him pass 1,000 points in his career. He is the first boys' player in school history to reach that mark.

Macey Hansen, Columbia Battle girls swimming

The junior took first place in the 100-yard freestyle at the Central Missouri Activities Conference championship meet.

Jon Hartmann, Saxony Lutheran boys basketball

The Crusaders rolled to a 77-37 win over St. Paul Lutheran behind 24 total points from Hartmann, 13 coming in the first quarter.

Noah Holland, Hillsboro boys basketball

Dropped 50 points, which tied a single-game school record that has stood since 1971, in a 105-102 win over Festus in three overtimes.

Jadis Jones, New Madrid County Central boys basketball

The junior recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 69-44 win over Lift for Life in the Charleston Sixth Man Shootout on Saturday.

Ava Kauffield, Washington girls swimming

Kauffield set a new school record and a new personal record in the 200-yard individual medley race at the Gateway Athletic Conference championships on Tuesday. She also set the school record in the prelims as well. She also set a new school record in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Jake Korell, Bishop LeBlond boys basketball

The four-year varsity member surpassed the 1,000-point plateau in a 57-39 win over Savannah in a Midland Empire Conference game on Friday.

Maddie Kubicki, Park Hill South girls wrestling

The three-time state champion picked up career win No. 150 this week for the Panthers.

Caroline Linberger, North Shelby girls basketball

The senior power forward poured in 22 points and helped the Lady Raiders beat Schuyler County, 54-49, in the La Plata Invitational title game.

Raegan McCowan, Lebanon girls basketball

The Western Illinois signee moved past 2,500 career points in an Ozark Conference game against Rolla on Thursday.

Natalie Potts, Incarnate Word girls basketball

She helped lead the reigning Class 6 champions to an 88th consecutive win thanks to scoring 36 points in the Webster Winter Challenge title game.

Madison Riley, Carthage girls swimming

Took first place in the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard freestyle, setting both personal and school records and was part of a new school record in the 200-yard freestyle relay at the SWMO Invitational on Saturday.

Bracxten Rohlmeier, Nodaway Valley boys basketball

In the road win in Sidney, Iowa, Rohlmeier had a career-high 36 points and made 20 of 23 free throws in a 78-59 win.

Luke Schroeder, Plattsburg boys basketball

The senior scored a career-high 25 points to help the Tigers improve to 22-0 overall and 4-0 in KCI Conference play with an 80-37 win over J.C. Penney High School in Hamilton.

Victoria Swingle, St. Michael the Archangel girls basketball

The senior guided the Guardians to a 68-63 conference win against University Academy on Friday. She tallied 39 points and had six steals.

Jiyani Thompson, Raytown South girls basketball

The senior guard scored her 1,000th point in a game on Thursday, tallying 21 points in the game.

JJ White, Atlanta boys basketball

He hit a buzzer-beater to lift Atlanta to a 63-62 win over Green City in the championship game of the La Plata Tournament. It was the first title in that event for the Hornets since 1971.

Kale Windy, Schuyler County boys basketball

Scored a game-high 19 points in a 61-46 loss to Canton in the third-place game at the La Plata Invitational but hit his 1,000th point in the contest.
