Here are the candidates for SBLive's Missouri High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Peyton Anderson, St. Joseph Benton girls soccer

The Northwest Missouri State signee scored career goal No. 100 in a 6-0 win against Cameron.

Beau Carrier, Dexter baseball

He allowed just one earned run over 6 1/3 innings in a Class 4 District 1 tournament game, helping the Bearcats beat Doniphan, 7-4, on Thursday.

Addison Clippard, Cape Notre Dame girls soccer

She scored both goals for the Bulldogs in a 2-1 win over Lindbergh on Saturday, May 13 — both coming in the first half in a Class 4 District 1 game.

Harley Daniels, Mount Vernon softball

Hit a walk-off, two-run double to help the Mountaineers win the Class 2 District 6 championship, winning 7-6 over the defending Class 2 champions Diamond.

Owen DeRosier, East Atchison baseball

His single to left field was the difference in a 5-4 walk-off win over King City in the Class 2 District 16 tournament on May 11.

John Diamond, Rockhurst baseball

The senior had three hits, including a go-ahead home run in the seventh inning in a 3-2 win over Blue Springs on May 10.

Samantha Dowd, Poplar Bluff girls track and field

The freshman won the 100- and 200-meter dashes and also ran on the first-place 4x100- and 4x200-meter relay teams at the Class 5 District 1 meet in St. Louis.

Cade Emmenderfer, Cape Central baseball

Became the single-season record holder for the Tigers with No. 8 on May 9, passing a record held Josh McIntosh (2000) and Greg Smith (1988).

Jesus Flores, Maryville boys track and field

A Central Missouri signee, he won the high jump and 400-meter dash, while being part of the winning 4x400-meter relay team at the Class 3 District 8 meet in Chillicothe on Saturday.

Cheria Galbreath, Jefferson City girls track and field

The junior had a part in three first-place finishes at the Class 4 District 7 meet on Saturday, winning the 300-meter hurdles and was on the winning 4x200- and 4x400-meter relay teams. She also moved to sectional by placing third in the 100-meter hurdles.

Sankeerth Gandhari, The Barstow School boys tennis

Picked up a win in doubles with teammate George Columbo, 8-0, and then won 7-5 and 6-0 in singles to help the Knights beat Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School, 5-2, in the Class 2 District 7 Tournament championship match on Wednesday.

Weston Gordon, McDonald County baseball

His complete-game shutout — and a walk-off hit by Destyn Dowd — helped the Mustangs upset Class 4 No. 1-ranked Logan-Rogersville on Wednesday to win the Big 8 Conference championship.

Isaiah Green, Neosho boys track and field

Ran on the 4x400-meter relay team that won and helped the Wildcats clinch the Class 5 District 6 tournament — the first district title for the school since 1979. The Missouri Southern football signee won the triple jump and was third in the long jump.

Josh Griesemer, Springfield Catholic boys golf

Fired an 81 to take first place and help the Irish win the Class 2 District 3 tournament on Monday in Republic.

Kennedy Herrig, Liberty North girls track and field

The junior broke her own school record in the 300-meter hurdles with a 44.70 at the Class 5 District 8 meet at Liberty North on Saturday.

Megan Hinnenkamp, Liberty North girls soccer

The University of Florida signee had a hat trick in a 3-0 win over Ray-Pec on Friday, helping the Lady Eagles lock up the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference Gold Division title.

Trotter Hughes, Wellington-Napoleon boys track and field

Picked up his 12th win of the year in the 400-meter dash at the Class 1 Sectional 4 meet with a school-record time of 49.77.

Teagen Hull, Eldon boys golf

Hull tied for first place at the Class 3 District 3 tournament on Monday, May 8, in Cassville with an even-par 72. The Mustangs also advanced to the state tournament as a team by shooting a 309.

Jonathan Jordan, Rolla boys golf

Shot a three-under 67 to pick up the medalist honors at the Class 4 District 3 meet in Marshfield on Monday, May 8. The Bulldogs took second, advancing to state for the third straight year.

Jackson Marcee, St. James boys golf

Shot a one-over par and picked up the Class 3 District 1 tournament by two shots on Monday, May 8 in Ste. Genevieve and helped the Tigers win the district title by two shots over Dexter.

Daniela Marquez, Carthage girls soccer

She recorded a hat trick in the Class 4 District 5 tournament on Saturday to help the Lady Tigers upset Springfield Central, 5-0.

Jordan Martin, Jefferson City baseball

The Arkansas pledge had a bases-clearing triple at the plate and struck out 11 on the mound in a 4-0 win over Blair Oaks on Monday, May 8.

Tate McGuire, Liberty North baseball

The right-handed hurler struck out 19 and gave up only one hit in a 1-0 win over Liberty on Friday. He broke the school records for wins in a season and strikeouts in a season and added to his career marks he already owns in both categories.

Garrison Mertz, Park Hill baseball

He fanned nine and gave up one earned run over seven innings on the mound while adding triple and scoring a run in an 8-3 win over Lee’s Summit North on Monday, May 8.

Caden Mickelson, Liberty North boys golf

Shot a 6-under 66 to claim the Class 5 District 4 tournament on Monday, May 8 at Adam’s Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs. His Eagles took second to advance to state.

Kene Okpareke, Rockhurst boys track and field

The senior won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and anchored the 4x100-meter relay that won a district title at the Class 5 District 7 meet on Saturday.

Reece Pahl, South Callaway girls track and field

The freshman won the 100-, 200-meter dashes while adding a first in the long jump in the Class 2 Sectional 2 meet on Saturday at South Shelby.

Jace Reynolds, Southern Boone County baseball

Set a new school single-season record with his 15th double in a 9-3 win over California on Tuesday, May 9.

Julian Schenck, John Burroughs baseball

Struck out seven in seven innings and was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored to help the bombers beat Principia on Tuesday.

Xander Schmitt, Lafayette baseball

The leadoff hitter was 2-for-5 and his lone RBI was a single in the bottom of the seventh to cap a seven-run frame in an 8-7 win over Rockwood Summit on May 10.

Garrett Shearer, SLUH baseball

The Northwestern signee contributed at the plate and on the mound in a 6-2 win over Francis Howell on Tuesday. He was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and struck out eight over five innings of work.

Kael Smith, Neosho baseball

The right-handed senior struck out 10 and gave up one run in a 10-1 victory over East Newton.

Molly Spane, Oran softball

She tossed a no-hitter with 17 strikeouts but lost the game 1-0 to Advance in the Class 1 District 2 semifinals game on Monday, May 8.

Bentley St. John, Lee’s Summit boys track and field

The junior picked up three district championships at the Class 5 District 7 meet in Independence, winning the 800-meter and then having a role on the 4x400- and 4x800-meter relay teams.

Shiloh Storm, Jasper softball

She hit a bases-clearing triple to set the tone for a 7-3 win over Liberal in the Class 1 District 6 softball championship game.

Abi Street, Webb City girls track and field

The Kansas signee won the 1,600-meter and was second in the 3,200-meter run at the Class 4 District 6 championship, helping the Lady Cards take first place in Hollister.

Edward Uschold, Parkway South baseball

Hit a walk-off grand slam, part of a two-homer, six-RBI day in a 9-5 win over Wright City on May 10.

Brian Wamsher, Kickapoo baseball

The senior right-hander — and Fort Scott Community College signee — gave up only three hits and fanned six on his way to a complete-game shutout over Webb City on Tuesday, a 2-0 win.

Devin Wassman, Platte County baseball

The Wichita State signee hit a three-run home run and added a two-run double to help the defending state champion Pirates pick up a 10-9 win over Park Hill on Friday.

Ty Wisdom, Liberty North baseball

The Kansas signee recorded a hit in a 3-2 loss to Lee’s Summit on May 11 and in the process became the Eagles’ career hits leader.

Ryker Zimmerman, Southern Boone baseball

The junior swiped his 36th stolen base of the season, which broke the Eagles’ single-season record in a 9-3 win over California on Tuesday.
