As a native Texan who was born and raised in Houston and honed my craft throughout South Texas, I've always dreamed of capturing and sharing the best stories from across the Lone Star State.
Now I'm thrilled to be making those dreams a reality by joining SBLive Sports to bring top-notch coverage and storytelling into the Great State in a major way. First up: SBLive's 2021 Texas high school football preview, which we will begin rolling out in late July.
Texans will tell you that if it's here, it's done bigger and better.
High school sports are certainly no exception, which is why we are eager and excited to launch the most comprehensive site dedicated to highlighting the best coaches, players and teams throughout Texas.
From the Permian Basin to the Piney Woods, the plains of the Panhandle to the palms of the Rio Grande Valley and everywhere between, we aim to share compelling stories and provide a platform that all Texans can be proud of.

The talent and dedication of student-athletes spread across the Lone Star State from Beaumont to El Paso and Brownsville to Dumas is extraordinary and deserves a platform that is too.
We are thrilled to be able to launch a space as dedicated to chronicling on-field greatness as the athletes chasing it and make SBLive Texas the first destination for Texas high school sports fans.
