Jamarion Carroll's highlight-reel run named high school football National Play of the Week (Aug. 25-27)

The Hirschi (Texas) wide receiver earned nearly 7,000 votes for the win

The SBLive Sports staff watched a whole bunch of high school football highlights from across the nation during the week of Aug. 25-27 and then picked our top 10.

Our readers had seven days to choose their favorite, and the touchdown run complete with a leaping 360 by Hirschi (Texas) wide receiver Jamarion Carroll came out on top.

Carroll's reception and run earned 6,701 votes (53.7%), beating out a breaking-tackles symphony by Bishop Garcia Diego (California) running back Qu'Ran Gossett, who earned 3,550 votes (28.45%).

Congratulations, Jamarion Carroll! Looking forward to more high school highlights from him before he heads to SMU next year.
