Shooting outside Ohio high school football stadium stops Whitmer-Toledo Central Catholic game

Three people were shot, according to multiple reports, all of whom suffered non-life-threatening injuries

Three people were reportedly shot Friday night outside a high school football stadium in Toledo, Ohio, stopping the Central Catholic at Whitmer football game.

WTOL initially reported that at least one person was shot outside the Whitmer football stadium, but later updated that report to three. The two female victims and one male victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, NBC 24 reported.

The Toledo Blade reported that the three shooting victims were taken to local hospitals, and that the gunshots came from a vehicle that sped away.

A Whitmer student and two adults were wounded, Washington Local Schools spokesperson Katie Peters told the Associated Press, calling it “an act of violence.”

On Patrol: Live, which was filming with the Toledo Police Department on Friday night, reported that two suspects had been apprehended.

A witness told ABC 13 that about eight minutes were left in the game when shots rang out.
