Top 20 quarterbacks in the country halfway through the 2022 high school football season

Heading into the 2022 high school football season, we took a look at 20 quarterbacks expected to be the cream of the crop across the country.
Now we're checking back in with that position group to highlight some of the top performers.
Some are repeats from the first list, some aren't, and some came out of nowhere.
Here are our midseason all-stars at quarterback.
Prentiss "Air" Noland, jr., Langston Hughes (Georgia)
Noland is the field general for the No. 21 team in the nation. In the Panthers' 6-0 start, the four-star junior passed for 1,481 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushed for 117 yards and three scores.
Vinny Ballone, sr., Lowellville (Ohio)
It might be an impossible task finding a quarterback who put up better numbers than Ballone in the first half of the season. The senior passed for 2,216 yards, 39 touchdowns and zero interceptions, and he rushed for 249 yards and two scores.
Cedrick Bailey, jr., Chaminade-Madonna (Florida)
The quarterback for the No. 3 team in the nation has put his team in a position to win each week. In the Lions’ 5-0 start, Bailey threw for 1,399 yards and 15 scores, in addition to rushing for two touchdowns.
Kaden Rush, sr., Collinsville (Oklahoma)
How fitting it is for a quarterback named Rush to be a true dual-threat at the position. The senior averaged 222 passing yards and 99 rushing yards per game in his first five games this year.
Garrison Davis, so., Ridgeland (Mississippi)
Defenses haven’t been able to contain Davis, who’s thrown for 1,716 yards and 21 scores in five games. He’s also rushed for 176 yards and four touchdowns.
Elijah Brown, jr., Mater Dei (California)
Brown looks the part of the starting quarterback for the No. 2 team in the country. The four-star has accumulated 1,117 passing yards and 15 touchdowns in five games against some stout competition.
Isaac Wilson, jr., Corner Canyon (Utah)
In addition to passing for 2,065 yards and 22 touchdowns, the junior has carried the ball 72 times for 365 yards and two touchdowns. The younger brother of New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson has offers from BYU, Oregon, Miami and more.
Donovyn Omolo, jr., Conway (Arkansas)
Through five games, Omolo's passing stats are solid on the surface: 92-134 (69%), 1,419 yds, 15 TDs and no interceptions. What makes them even more impressive is that he's usually playing only one half because of all his team's blowout wins.
Bennett Judy, sr., Hillcrest (South Carolina)
Through six games, Judy has racked up 1,797 passing yards, 25 total touchdowns and just one interception. The senior set a school record with 456 passing yards in an Aug. 26 win, and he’s picked up offers from Western Carolina and Morehead State in recent weeks.
Marcel Reed, sr., Montgomery Bell Academy (Tennessee)
An Ole Miss commit, Reed has accounted for nearly 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns this year. In seven wins against elite competition, the senior passed for 988 yards and 11 touchdowns, while adding 480 yards and nine scores on the ground.

Micah Alejado, jr., Bishop Gorman (Nevada)
The junior puts up big numbers while taking care of the ball, which is evident with his 24 touchdowns and zero interceptions in seven games. On average, the quarterback for the No. 5 team in the nation goes for about 250 yards and 3.5 touchdowns every time he takes the field.
Antwann Hill Jr., soph., Houston County (Georgia)
Hill went off in his first six games, passing for 1,767 yards and 17 touchdowns. The 6-foot-5 sophomore already has offers from Georgia, Tennessee and Texas A&M, among others.
Cole McCarty, sr., Moody (Alabama)
In seven games, McCarty surpassed 2,000 passing yards (2,007) with 27 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Jadyn Davis, jr., Providence Day (North Carolina)
The No. 3 quarterback in the junior class, according to the On3 consensus, Davis leads the charge for one of the top teams in North Carolina. 1,583 yards and 21 touchdowns in five games.
AJ Raines, sr., Timberland (Missouri)
Raines leads a high-powered offense for the No. 17 team in the Missouri Power 25. His numbers through six games, which were all wins: 1,669 yards and 17 touchdowns through the air plus 540 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.

Jackson Arnold, sr., Guyer (Texas)
The Oklahoma commit is making it look easy to lead the offense for the No. 12 team in the nation. In Guyer's 6-0 start, Arnold passed for 1,268 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 160 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
Jamarian Ficklin, soph., Muskogee (Oklahoma)
The quickly rising left-handed quarterback has led his team to a 5-0 start, putting the Roughers are in contention for the 6A-II title. Ficklin has passed for nearly 1,400 yards and 22 touchdown passes.
Brayden Dorman, sr., Vista Ridge (Colorado)
Dorman has been airing it out on defenses this year. The Arizona commit has tallied 1,957 passing yards and 26 touchdowns through six games.
Josh Flowers, jr., Baker (Alabama)
There's nothing like a quarterback that can kill defenses with his arms and legs, and that's exactly what Flowers is. The four-star junior with offers from Alabama, Arkansas and Florida averages over 142 passing yards and 117 rushing yards per game.
Ryan Staub, sr., West Ranch (California)
The Colorado commit threw for 1,740 yards and 26 touchdowns in his first seven games this year. That's 248.6 yards and 3.7 touchdowns per game.
