Alaska was the 49th state to join the Union, but it's the first to crown 2022 state champions in high school football, with the final trophy being awarded tonight.

Divisions II and III finished their seasons last week, as Homer claimed its first state championship in team history in DIII and Lathrop went back-to-back in DII.
