When it comes to high school basketball, few events turn heads like the Spalding HoopHall Classic.

Every January, a collection of the nation’s top teams descend upon Springfield, Massachusetts, the home of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, for a showcase that attracts thousands of fans.

This year’s HoopHall Classic looks like it will be one to remember.

The schedule for the five-day event was released Friday, and more than half of the teams in the preseason SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 national rankings will be competing at HoopHall in 2023.  Bronny James, Jared McCain and DJ Wagner are among the litany of high-profile players set to take the court at Springfield College’s Blake Arena from Jan. 12-16.

Fans will be able to see Wagner and McCain go head to head, as preseason No. 8 Camden (New Jersey) and No. 10 Corona Centennial (California), which are set to meet on the third day of the event.

Immediately after, highly touted 2025 prospects Cameron and Cayden Boozer and No. 23 Columbus (Florida) will square off with Mikey Williams, JJ Taylor and San Ysidro (California). The Boozer twins will take the national stage again following a day off, this time seeing Bronny James and No. 15 Sierra Canyon (California).

Event directors saved what might be the two most-anticipated games for last, as No. 1 Montverde Academy (Florida) will take on No. 4 Sunrise Christian (Kansas), and No. 2 AZ Compass Prep (Arizona) will face off with No. 5 IMG Academy (Florida).

Also competing will be the top three teams in the first-ever girls basketball SBLive Power 25, which includes a matchup between No. 1 Sidwell Friends (DC) and No. 2 Sierra Canyon.

These are some of the most notable matchups, with each team’s national preseason ranking listed. Nearly all of the unranked teams competing in the event received consideration for the top 25, and some were on the bubble.
