From a certain point of view, the 2023 NFL Draft started in California and ended in Michigan.

Former Mater Dei (California) superstar Bryce Young went first overall to the Carolina Panthers, and the Los Angeles Rams made East English Village Prep (Michigan) defensive end Desjuan Johnson "Mr. Irrelevant" with the last pick in the draft.

Johnson will have big shoes to fill succeeding arguably the most relevant "Mr. Irrelevant" ever in Gilbert Perry (Arizona) alum Brock Purdy, who was picked last in 2022 and then starred as a rookie for the San Francisco 49ers.

Among the 259 players drafted in 2023, 38 states, one district (D.C.) and one foreign country (Canada) are represented — and 111 of the draftees finished their high school careers in either California, Florida, Georgia or Texas.

From Young to Johnson and everyone in between, here are all the 2023 NFL Draft picks sorted by state according to where the players finished high school.
