Paul Bergeron, Westford Academy (Massachusetts)

Bergeron captured the Division 1 state title in the two-mile race with a time of 8:51.88. The junior holds the second-fastest two-mile time in the country this season.

Ari Bethea, Collierville (Tennessee)

Bethea struck out eight and didn’t surrender a hit in a 2-0 win over Centennial. It was the first career no-hitter for Bethea, a sophomore right-hander.

Drew Erdmann, Walsh Jesuit (Ohio)

Erdmann, a Cincinnati signee, tossed a five-inning perfect game with nine strikeouts as Walsh Jesuit won the district title with a 10-0 victory over Louisville.

Daniel Flores, Birmingham (California)

Despite allowing the first two batters of the game to reach base, Flores fought back to throw a no-hitter with five strikeouts in a 5-1 win over Palisades.

Tyrone Gorze, Crater (Oregon)

Gorze set a new Class 5A state meet record in the 3,000 with a winning time of 8:04.60, the top time nationally this season. The senior beat legendary runner Steve Prefontaine’s best time of 8:07.90 and nearly took down Galen Rupp’s state record of 8:03.67 set in 2004.

Tyler Griffin, Eastlake (Washington)

Batting from the nine-hole, Griffin went 4 for 4 with four RBIs as Eastlake captured its first Class 4A state title with a 13-1 romp of Sumner.

River Hamilton, Barlow (Oregon)

In a Class 6A first-round playoff stunner, No. 30 Barlow defeated third-seeded Lakeridge 1-0 behind a three-hitter from Hamilton. The sophomore right-hander struck out nine and walked two in the upset. Hamilton is committed to Oregon State.

Kendall Henson, Bullitt East (Kentucky)

Henson tossed a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts as Bullitt East won the Sixth Region Tournament with a 3-0 victory over Fern Creek.

Kyle Majka, Clinton (New York)

Majka threw a perfect game with nine strikeouts in a 2-0 victory over Chittenango.

Eli Menke, Lake Mills (Iowa)

Menke struck out a school-record 20 batters and surrendered just two hits in a 2-0 win over West Hancock.

Anthony Paolicelli, John Stark (New Hampshire)

Paolicelli went 3 for 4 at the plate with a double, a home run and two RBIs while striking out 13 in 5 2/3 innings as John Stark took down Sanborn, 2-1.

Roderick Schenk, Central Kitsap (Washington)

Schenk broke the Class 3A state meet record in the javelin with a winning throw of 219-1. The senior edged Yelm’s Brayden Platt (216-0) for gold. The two marks rank second and third, respectively, in the country this season.

Dijon Stanley, Granada Hills (California)

Stanley, a four-star Utah football signee, won the 400 at the CIF state championships with a personal-record time of 45.77 — the third-fastest time nationally this spring.

Trace Vrbancic, Prairie Ridge (Illinois)

Vrbancic threw a six-inning no-hitter with 10 punch-outs in an 11-1 victory over Woodstock North.

Henry Zatkowski, River Hill (Maryland)

Zatkowski, a junior Duke commit, threw a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts as River Hill defeated C. Milton Wright, 1-0, in the Class 3A state championship game.
