Each week during the 2023-24 high school boys basketball season, SBLive Sports will gather the best performances across the country with the help of fans, readers and staff.

Now, it’s your turn to choose a standout among the pack, the best of the best.

Here are the nominees for SBLive’s National High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 26-March 3. Voting closes on Monday, March 11, at 11:59 (Pacific Time).

SBLive National High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week candidates

Finnegan Anderson, sr., Davis (Washington)

Anderson erupted for a career-high 36 points as Davis downed Skyview, 75-69.

Alijah Arenas, so., Chatsworth (California)

Arenas poured in 37 points as Chatsworth routed Estancia, 83-54. Later in the week, the sophomore standout scored 53 points in a 74-69 victory over Washington Prep.

Ace Bailey, sr., McEachern (Georgia)

Bailey, a five-star Rutgers signee, had 32 points and 15 rebounds in a 63-56 win over Wheeler.

Pearson Carmichael, sr., Summit (Oregon)

Carmichael broke his own Summit single-game scoring record for the third time this season in a 98-65 victory over Caldera, putting up 51 points, 19 rebounds and five blocks. The Boise State signee scored 37 points in the first half.

Anthony Covetta, jr., Jefferson Area (Ohio)

Covetta had 28 points — including career point No. 1,000 — and nine rebounds as Jefferson Area edged Bay Village, 71-70.

Dutch DowDell, sr., Olympus (Utah)

DowDell, a Harvard commit, led the way with 34 points in Olympus’ 69-61 Class 5A state title game victory over Alta.

Jaden Erami, jr., Bosco Tech (California)

Erami netted 32 points as Bosco Tech knocked off Rancho Buena Vista, 87-83.

Zack Evans, sr., West Central (Illinois)

Evans put up 35 points — including the 2,000th of his West Central career — in a 66-38 victory over Madison.

Donnie Freeman, sr., IMG Academy (Florida)

Freeman, a five-star Syracuse signee, had 35 points, 16 rebounds and two assists in a 72-63 win over La Lumiere.

Javin Friesz, sr., Flasher (North Dakota)

Friesz surpassed the 2,000 career points mark in a 57-55 overtime win over South Heart. The senior finished the night with 32 points.

Garrett Gonzalez, sr., Minerva (Ohio)

Gonzalez had 30 points and seven assists in a 79-59 win over Beaver Local.

Juke Harris, sr., Salisbury (North Carolina)

Harris, a four-star Wake Forest signee, became the leading scorer in Rowan County history during a 36-point explosion against Anson. He also had nine rebounds and five assists in the 85-39 victory. Harris is closing in on 2,500 career points.

Dominic Nguyen, so., Seton (Virginia)

Nguyen matched his career high with 31 points in an 84-59 victory over North Cross.

Victor Payne, sr., Cromwell (Connecticut)

Payne poured in 35 points in a 64-58 win over Morgan.

Xavier Rivera, sr., Lowell (Massachusetts)

Rivera had 31 points and 10 rebounds as Lowell defeated Beverly, 83-57.

Ty Robinson, sr., Lake Hamilton (Arkansas)

Robinson, a Florida Atlantic signee, had 49 points, 15 rebounds and five steals in an 85-82 double-overtime loss to Pine Bluff.

Cedric Rodriguez, sr., Burlington (Massachusetts)

Rodriguez netted 31 points as Burlington routed Whitman-Hanson, 73-54.

Layne Taylor, sr., Farmington (Arkansas)

Taylor, a North Texas commit, had 30 points, eight assists and three rebounds in a 53-40 win over Magnolia.

Kase Wynott, sr., Lapwai (Idaho)

Wynott, the leading scorer in Idaho history, closed his decorated high school career with 46 points in the Class 1A Division I title game. Lapwai defeated Lakeside, 67-54. The Utah State signee nearly averaged a triple-double for the season at 35.9 points, 14.3 rebounds and 9.5 assists.
