Vote for best high school mascot in America, Round 1: Omaha Benson Mighty Bunnies vs. Alamosa Mean Moose
The bracket is set for SBLive Sports' 2024 NCAA Tournament-style contest to determine the best high school mascot in America, and Round 1 is underway.
Vote below for the No. 2-seeded Omaha Benson Mighty Bunnies (Nebraska) or the No. 15-seeded Alamosa Mean Moose (Colorado) to advance to the second round, where the winner will face either the Taylorsville Tartars (Mississippi) or Miami Wardogs (Oklahoma).
The Mighty Bunnies earned a 2 seed by winning last fall's Nebraska contest with 10,381 votes, while the Mean Moose won Colorado with three votes to earn a 15 seed.

Voting for this matchup will conclude Wednesday, March 20, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.
2. Omaha Benson Mighty Bunnies (Nebraska)
Omaha Benson High School moved in the 1920s to a field formerly loaded with bunnies, and its mascot choice would foreshadow a 1975 Monty Python scene showing just how mighty bunnies can be.
15. Alamosa Mean Moose (Colorado)
Alamosa alternatively goes by the Maroons and the Mean Moose, but we’re honoring the latter. People who live around bears and moose know that it’s the moose you really want to be careful around. And Alamosa’s Mean Moose mascot looks even more fearsome than your average moose.
