Top stars, best performances in Nebraska girls basketball (Feb. 13-19)

Klabundi drops 30 for second time this season

Though wins have been hard to come by lately, Ahmani Klabunde has continued pouring in points for Benson. The junior eclipsed the 30-point scoring mark for the second time this season during a recent game against Westview.

Klabundi hit the 30-point mark for the second time this year, scoring 30 during a loss to Westview. Her season-high 34 came during a win over Omaha North. On the year, she’s netting just over 19 per game and pulling down about six rebounds.

Naomi White, Bellevue West junior

White scored 18 points, shooting 47 percent from the floor during a win over Omaha Westside. This season, she’s improved her per-game scoring average to 17.5, from just under 11 a year ago. Her season high 28 points came during a loss to Millard South.

Sanai Foster, Omaha Westside freshman

Foster tied her season high of 14 points during a loss to Bellevue West. On the season, she’s scoring just under nine points per game and averaging seven rebounds. This was the third time she’s scored 14 this season.

Mya Scoff, Bellevue East senior

Scoff scored a game-high 19 points, shooting 58 percent from the floor during a win over Elkhorn South. On the season, she’s scoring 16.5 points per game and pulling down about four rebounds. Her season scoring high of 30 recently came during a win over Bellevue West.

Neleigh Gessert, Millard West Sophomore

Gessert scored 15 points, shooting 45 percent from the floor helping her team pick up a win over Omaha Central. She went 2-for-6 from deep and was perfect from the free throw line. On the year, she’s averaging 11 points per game and nearly seven boards.

Skyler Indra, Norfolk sophomore

Indra scored a season-high 15 points during a loss to Omaha Central. This was a scoring explosion for the sophomore, who came into the game averaging about two points and a rebound per outing. Her previous season best was six points during a loss to Bellevue East.

Paris Devers, Omaha Central junior

Devers scored a season-high 15 points during a win over Norfolk. On the year, she’s scoring just under five points per game and three rebounds. During her sophomore campaign she scored about two points and a rebound per game.

Kate Denker, Fremont sophomore

Denker tied her season-high 19 points during a loss to Kearney. The first time she scored 19 this year came during a win over Grand Island. On the year, Denker is scoring just over nine points per game and five rebounds.

Tatum Rusher, Kearney senior

Rusher scored a game-high 19 points during a win over Fremont. On the year, she’s averaging just under 12 points per game. She’s scored 20 or more three times this year and her season high of 25 came during a December win over Fremont.

Avril Smith, Millard North sophomore

Smith scored 16 points during a win over Lincoln Southwest. This ties her season best, the first coming during a loss to Millard South. On the season, she’s averaging just over seven points per game and 7.5 rebounds.

Rease Murtaugh, Papillion-LaVista sophomore

The sophomore scored 16 points during a win over Columbus. On the season, she’s averaging just over 14 points per game and nearly five rebounds. Her season-high 25 points recently came during a win over Westview.

Taryn French, Gretna Freshman.

French scored a career-high 15 points during a win over Omaha Burke. Her previous best nine points came during a win over Lincoln Southeast. On the season, she’s averaging just under four points per game.

Ayanna Hill, Omaha North freshman

Hii scored 16 points, shooting 60 percent from the floor during a loss to Omaha Central. On the year, she’s scoring just under 16 points per game and pulling down four rebounds. Her season-high 29 points came during a loss to Benson.

Joslyn Policky, Blair junior

Policky scored a season-high 17 points during a win over Elkhorn. On the year, she’s scoring about seven points per game. Her previous-best scoring outing came when she netted 14 during a win over Plattsmouth.

Brooklyn Heineman, South Sioux City junior

Heineman scored 20 points en route to a victory over elkhorn. This was her second time eclipsing the 20-point mark this year, the first coming during a 21-point outing against Winnebago. This season, she’s scoring under 12 points per game and recording about five rebounds.

Shawna Wilkinson, McCook senior

Wilkinson scored 14 points, shooting 45 percent from the floor during a loss to Scottsbluff. On the season, she’s netting 12 points per game and averaging four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Halle Dolliver, Malcolm freshman

Dolliver scored 23 points during a win over Lincoln Christian. On the year, she’s averaging just under 20 points per outing and pulling down about nine rebounds. Her season high 34 points came during a win over Yutan.

Laycee Josoff, Yutan senior

Josoff scored a game-high 15 points, shooting 57 percent from the floor during a win over Wahoo. Quality free throw shooting (7-for-8 from the charity stripe) helped that total. On the year, she’s averaging eight points and four rebounds per game.

Alex Beveridge, Hershey sophomore

Beveridge scored 15 points during a loss to Chase County. On the year, she’s averaging just under 15 points per game, four rebounds, two assists and two steals per game. Her season high scoring of 18 came during a win over Perkins County.

Sam Ehlers, Ponca senior

Ehlers dropped a game-high 16 points during a win over Hartington-Newcastle. On the year, she’s scoring just over 14 points per game, as well as six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Her season-high scoring of 23 came against Bancroft-Rosalie.

Adyson Mlnarik, Summerland junior

Mlnarik scored a game-high 16 points during a win over North Central. On the season, she’s averaging just over 20 points per game, a big spike from her sophomore campaign where she averaged 12.7.

Shyanne Anderson, Cross County junior

Anderson scored a game-high 19 points during a win over Centennial. On the year, she’s averaging 14 points per game, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Her season high 30 points came during a win over Aquinas Catholic High School.

Mikkel Parker, Omaha Nation freshman

Parker scored 14 points during a win over Tri County Northeast. On the season, she’s scoring just under nine points per game. Her season-high scoring of 18 came during a win over Takini.

Chloe Hanel, Clarkson/Leigh junior

Hanel scored a game-high 18 points during a win over Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family. On the season, Hanel is averaging just under 20 points per game, six rebounds, three assists and four steals. Her top scoring performance this year is 31, a feat she accomplished twice.

Katherine Thaden, Brownell Talbot senior

Thaden scored a game-high 18 points during a win over Omaha Christian Academy. Her season-high 26 points came during a win over Cedar Bluffs. This season, she’s averaging 12 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals per game.
