Winter storm in Mississippi forces MHSAA to push back first round of 2021 basketball playoffs (updated brackets)

With a winter storm moving into Mississippi that will bring snow, ice and high temperatures in the 20s, the MHSAA has moved the first round of the 2021 basketball playoffs to Thursday for the girls and Friday for the boys.

The first round of the girls playoffs was initially scheduled to tip off on Monday, with the boys playing on Tuesday. Get all of the updated game dates and times in our brackets:

Due to inclement weather, the 1st round of the playoffs will not begin until Thursday, February 18th for Girls and Feb. 19th for Boys. Saturday will be used for any makeup games.

The second round will be played on Feb. 22 for Girls and Feb 23 for boys. The 3rd round will be held Feb. 25 for Girls and Feb.26 for boys.

Finals and semi-finals will be played as scheduled.
