Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Arkansas high school athlete of the week for April 12-18 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Bryson Bailey, Waldron boys track: Bailey recorded personal records in the 100 (11.03), 200 (22.80) and 400 (54.04) at the Mansfield Sr. Quad City track meet. He won all three events.

LeQuav Brumfield, Bryant boys track: Brumfield turned in a personal-best 51.42 in winning the 400 meters at the Charging Wildcat Relays. He also PR’d and won the triple jump (43-05) and was part of the winning 4x400 relay team.

Cali Essick, Branson girls track: Essick won three events (100, 200, long jump) at the Sr. Goblin Rosson Invitational in Harrison.

Lexi Franklin, Booneville softball: Franklin shut out Waldron and struck out 14 batters in Booneville’s 4-0 win.

Madison Holloway, Conway girls track: Holloway PR’d in the high jump (5-07), long jump (17-10.25) and triple jump (36-04) and won all three events at the Charging Wildcat Relays.

Meliah Hunter, Fort Smith Southside softball: Hunter struck out eight as part of a four-hitter and drove in the tiebreaking run with a double, leading Fort Smith Southside to a 2-1 win over Rogers.

Hudson May, Bentonville boys soccer: May notched a hat trick in Bentonville’s 6-0 win over Fort Smith Southside.

Amos Mayes, Huntsville baseball: Mayes struck out 11, allowed only three hits and came within one out of a complete game, pitching Huntsville to a 7-0 victory against Prairie Grove.

Johnny Merlos, Bentonville boys soccer: Merlos recorded a hat trick as Bentonville and Har-Ber played to a 3-3 draw.

Paige Morrall, Rogers Heritage softball: Morrall tripled twice and finished with six RBIs in Rogers Heritage’s 15-1 rout of Springdale.

Olivia Nickson, Bentonville West softball: Nickson, a sophomore, twirled a two-hitter as Bentonville West cruised past Fayetteville for a 15-0 victory.

Trey Richardson, Harrison baseball: Richardson delivered a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in the seventh inning as Harrison rallied past Farmington for a 4-2 win and took over sole possession of first place in the conference standings.

Zach Rolston, Farmington boys soccer: Rolston, a sophomore, made nine saves to earn his first career shutout in Farmington’s 1-0 win over Clarksville.

Amanda Schell, Bentonville girls soccer: Schell had the first and last goals in Bentonville’s 6-0 rout of Fort Smith Southside.

Shayley Treat, Farmington softball: Treat blasted a grand slam and a two-run homer in Farmington’s 8-2 victory against Harrison.

Sara Ulmer, Booneville girls track: Ulmer PR’d in the 100 (13.24) and 200 (28.03), winning both races at the Mansfield Sr. Quad City track meet. She also was part of two winning relays teams.
