Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Arizona High School Softball Player of the Week for April 12-18 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

THIS WEEK’S WAFD BANK SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

Reis Beuerlein, Pinnacle: Beuerlein fired a three-hitter with 18 strikeouts (one walk), pitching Pinnacle to an 8-0 win over Mountain View on Friday. She also tripled and drove in three.

Carlee Cherhoniak, Bradshaw Mountain: Cherhoniak homered, drove in four and scored four times in Bradshaw Mountain’s 21-3 rout of Glendale on Monday.

Kyrie Denny, Catalina Foothills: Denny homered, drove in three and pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts as Catalina Foothills defeated Pueblo 10-0 on Monday. She also was the winning pitcher in Thursday’s 7-5 victory against Mountain View, striking out eight in seven innings.

Bridget Donahey, Xavier Prep: Donahey homered, doubled, had five RBIs and scored three runs in Xavier Prep’s 16-1 win over Tucson on Tuesday.

Chloe Hetrick, Centennial: Hetrick doubled twice and drove in three, leading Centennial to an 11-1 win over Central on Monday.

Sam Hildebrandt, Sunnyslope: Hildebrandt twirled a four-hitter with seven strikeouts in Sunnyslope’s 6-0 win over Boulder Creek on Monday. She pitched another complete game and struck out six in Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Cactus.

Courtney Lake, Mountain Ridge: Lake homered, doubled, scored four runs and knocked in three as Mountain Ridge beat Westwood 16-5 on Tuesday. She homered again and drove in five during a 12-2 win over Boulder Creek on Thursday.

Payton Maguire, Red Mountain: Maguire, a freshman, homered in the seventh inning for the only run in Red Mountain’s 1-0 win over Perry on Tuesday. Two nights later, she tripled, singled twice and drove in three in a 12-0 rout of Dobson.

Cassidy Morrow, Sahuaro: Morrow homered and singled in Sahuaro’s 3-1 victory against Desert View on Monday. The next night, she had two more hits as the Cougars beat Cholla 4-1.

Audrey Reeder, Williams Field: Reeder, a freshman, was 5 for 5 with a home run in Williams Field’s 14-1 victory against North Canyon on Wednesday. In the circle, she allowed three hits in six innings.

Alex Reeve, Corona del Sol: Reeve singled, doubled, homered and had five RBIs in Corona del Sol’s 16-5 win over Dobson on Monday. Tuesday, she scored three runs in an 11-4 win over Chaparral.

Madeline Ugalde, Basha: Ugalde pitched a one-hitter with 16 strikeouts as Basha edged Maricopa for a 1-0 victory Tuesday.

Jolissa Valdez, Tolleson Union: Valdez, a sophomore, homered twice and walked twice and finished with eight RBIs in Tolleson Union’s 22-0 rout of West Point on Thursday. She also recorded two wins in the circle last week.

Kate Vance, Hamilton: Vance homered twice with six RBIs in Hamilton’s 9-6 win over Casteel on Monday. She homered, doubled and drove in two, helping the Huskies defeat Pinnacle 7-1 on Tuesday. Thursday, she homered again and drove in three in a 13-7 victory against Perry.
