CARLSBAD -- La Costa Canyon senior first baseman Jake Woltman stepped up on Wednesday when the Mavericks needed him most. Woltman tied the game at one with a solo home run to left field in the fourth inning and moved the winning run to third base with his sixth inning double. Sophomore Gabe Camacho followed up with a two-run single that gave the Mavericks the lead for good.
