Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Arizona High School Athlete of the Week for May 10-16 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Alisha Ellsworth, Highland girls track: Ellsworth won the long jump competition at the state track meet with a personal-best mark of 18-8.75.

Amar Elmore, Chandler boys track: Elmore’s 180-9 in the discus at the state track championships is the best mark in Arizona this season.

Aiden Harvey, O’Connor boys track: Harvey won the 200 meters at the state track meet with a personal-best time of 21.69.

Jamere Haskell, Chandler boys track: Haskell’s 45-8 in the triple jump at the state track championships is the best mark in Arizona this season.

Trinity Henderson, Chandler girls track: Henderson’s 11.75 in the 100 meters at the state track championships is the best mark in Arizona this season. She also won the 200 and finished second in the 400.

Taylor Jacobs, Canyon View softball: Jacobs did it all in the 5A semifinal against Ironwood Ridge, homering twice, driving in four and pitching six shutout innings in Canyon View’s 11-0 win.

Neya Jamison, Chaparral girls track: Jamison’s 42.27 in the 300 hurdles at the state track championships is the best mark in Arizona this season.

Marissa McCann, Willow Canyon softball: McCann pitched Willow Canyon to the 5A title game. She twirled a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts in a 5-2 win over Casteel in the semifinal after pitching a two-hitter with nine strikeouts (five innings) in a 10-0 victory against Buena in the quarterfinal.

Cade McGee, Salpointe Catholic baseball: McGee struck out 10 in six innings, pitching Salpointe Catholic to a 5-1 win over Canyon del Oro in a 4A semifinal.

Rachana Men, Hamilton boys track: Men won the high jump competition at the state track meet with a personal-best mark of 6-5.

Luke Moeller, Desert Mountain baseball: Moeller homered and drove in three to help Desert Mountain beat Apollo 9-6 in a 5A quarterfinal.

Adam Moser, Sunrise Mountain baseball: Moser homered and walked twice as Sunrise Mountain defeated Casteel 7-2 in a 5A semifinal.

Riley Nielson, Sabino softball: Nielson struck out 26 batters as part of a 15-inning, three-hit shutout as Sabino edged Empire 1-0 in a 3A semifinal. She also drove in the run. In a 9-1 quarterfinal victory against Winslow, she pitched a three-hitter (seven innings) with 16 strikeouts.

Emma Petersen, Xavier Prep softball: Petersen hit a grand slam in a 12-2 win over Sandra Day O’Connor in a 6A quarterfinal. She homered again in the semifinal, helping Xavier Prep beat Pinnacle 10-0.

Jose Romero, Alhambra baseball: Romero had two hits and an RBI in a 7-3 Class 6A quarterfinal win over Red Mountain and three hits and two RBIs in a 3-2 victory against Hamilton in a semifinal.

Katie Sigerud, Desert Vista girls track: Sigerud’s 2:10.64 in the 800 meters at the state track championships is the best mark in Arizona this season. She finished second in the 1600.

Alyssa Tinnin, Vista Grande softball: Tinnin pitched a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts as Vista Grande edged Greenway 1-0 in a 4A quarterfinal. She had three hits and two RBIs in a 6-5 semifinal win over Canyon del Oro.

Taylor Trowbridge, Red Mountain softball: Trowbridge pitched Red Mountain to the 6A championship game. She threw a no-hitter (10 strikeouts) in a 7-0 win over Hamilton in the quarterfinal and a two-hitter (seven strikeouts) in a 3-2 victory against Shadow Ridge in the semifinal.

Tyler Welsh, Sabino baseball: Welsh homered and doubled to help Sabino defeat Valley Christian 9-4 in a 3A semifinal.

Mason White, Salpointe Catholic baseball: White singled, doubled, homered and drove in five, leading Salpointe Catholic to a 12-3 win over Flagstaff in a 4A quarterfinal.

Anyssa Wild, Salpointe Catholic softball: Wild went 3 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs in Salpointe Catholic’s 9-1 win over Paradise Honors in a 4A semifinal.
