Congratulations to Arkadelphia linebacker Alex Turley for being voted SBLive’s Arkansas High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 18-24!

The senior had a 75-yard fumble return for a score in the Badgers’ 33-27 win over Ashdown.

Turley received 24.37% of the vote, beating out Greenbrier's Carter McElhany who finished second with 20.7%. El Dorado's SharmonRester finished third with 15.77% and Ashdown's Kaiden Winfrey finished fourth with 10.94%. There were over 30,000 votes tallied this week!

Bodie Neal, Shiloh Christian football

The junior caught five passes for 109 yards and a touchdown, playing in only the first half of the Saints’ 50-0 win over Elkins.

Jaylin McKinney, Pulaski Academy football

The junior caught seven passes for 112 yards and a touchdown in the Bruins’ 63-14 victory over Little Rock Christian.

Kenny Jordan, Pulaski Academy football

The sophomore caught 12 passes for 80 yards and 2 TDs in the Bruins’ 63-14 victory over Little Rock Christian.

Jayvean Dyer-Jones, Little Rock Christian football

The senior rushed 15 times for 101 yards in the Warriors’ 63-14 loss to Pulaski Academy.

Eli Cooper, Little Rock Christian, football

The senior caught 10 passes for 154 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown, in the Warriors’ 63-14 loss to Pulaski Academy.

Tyrique Jones, Crossett football

The senior completed 10-of-12 passes for 195 yards, and rushed five times for 72 yards in the Eagles 56-3 win over Hamburg.

Robert Hendrix, Bryant football

The senior had 3 TD catches of 7, 8, and 44 yards in the Hornets the 45-20 win over Cabot.

Eli Weaver, Greenbrier football

The sophomore had 81 yards rushing, including a TD, in the Panthers’ 48-6 win over Farmington.

Cooper Wilcox, Greenbrier football

The senior had 240 passing yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 75 yards and 2 TDs, in the Panthers’ 48-6 win over Farmington.

Carter McElhany, Greenbrier football

The junior had a 98-yard kickoff return for a score and also hauled in a 71-yard TD pass, in the Panthers’ 48-6 win over Farmington.

Noah Becker, Pulaski Academy boys tennis

Becker won the state overall title with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Joe Patton of Jonesboro.

Franco Verdin, Little Rock Parkview boys cross country

Verdin won the Large School Division of the Quitman Invitational in 15:53.60.

Caylan Koons, Springdale Har-Ber volleyball

Koons had 52 assists, 17 digs, 4 kills and 4 blocks in a 25-23, 23-25, 25-13, 23-25, 15-8 victory over Fayetteville.

Blake Rogers, Mammoth Springs boys basketball

Rogers led Mammoth Springs with 16 points in a 54-51 victory over Mount Vernon Enola in the Bad Boys Mowers Classic in Brockwell.

Sharmon Rester, El Dorado football

The senior completed 13-of-18 passes for 302 yards and 6 touchdowns, while also running six times for 109 yards and a 73-yard TD, in the Wildcats’ 51-23 win over Sylvan Hills.

Cassie Cervantes, Bentonville West girls tennis

Cervantes defeated Jenna Payne of Jonesboro for the girls overall title 6-4, 6-2.

Ella Gary, Episcopal Collegiate girls cross country

Gary won the Small School Division of the Quitman Invitational in 18:56.90.

Kennedy Phelan, Fayetteville volleyball

Phelan had 47 assists and 20 digs in a 25-23, 23-25, 25-13, 23-25, 15-8 loss to Springdale Har-Ber.

Ava Lewis, Izard County girls basketball

Lewis had 31 points in a 50-43 over Lead Hill in the finals of the Bad Boys Mowers Classic in Brockwell.

Tevin Hughes, Lake Hamilton football

Hughes rushed for 197 yards on 22 carries and scored 4 touchdowns in a 63-33 victory over Van Buren.

Stefan Tudoreanu and Alex Wells, Little Rock Central boys tennis

Tudoreanu and Wells defeated Ethan Richardson and Carson Fowler of Jonesboro for the state overall title in boys doubles, 6-4, 7-6.

Brolan Griffeth, Episcopal Collegiate boys cross country

Griffeth won the Small School Division of the Quitman Invitational in 16:40.30.

Kendall Carter, Mountain Home volleyball

Carter had 14 digs and 10 kills in a 25-13, 25-14, 25-14 victory over Alma.

Gunnar Gleghorn, Izard County boys basketball

Gleghorn led Izard County with 23 points in a 63-43 victory over Mountain Home Christian Academy and had 23 points in a 50-47 loss to Buffalo Island Central in the Bad Boys Mowers Classic in Brockwell.

Isaiah Sategna, Fayetteville football

Sategna caught 9 passes for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 49-21 victory over Springdale.

JK Bohnert and Grace Lueders, Rogers girls tennis

Bohnert and Lueders defeated Khushi Patil and Caroline Lasley of Little Rock Central for the girls doubles title, 6-1, 6-1.

Emelia Erickson, Arkadelphia girls cross country

Erickson won the 4A-7 Conference meet at Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia in 19:52.20.

Abby Harris, Rogers volleyball

Harris had 17 kills and 12 assists in a 19-25, 25-19, 27-25, 25-19 victory over Rogers Heritage.

Josh Ficklin, Bentonville football

Ficklin rushed for 233 yards on 27 carries and scored the winning touchdown in the Tigers’ 56-49 victory over Rogers.

Johnny Sanchez, De Queen boys cross country

Sanchez won the 4A-7 Conference meet at Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia in 16:45.50.

Charlie Fiser, Pulaski Academy football

The senior completed 25-of-38 passes for 324 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Bruins’ 63-14 win over Little Rock Christian.

Chloe Weathers, Clarksville girls cross country

Weathers won the Large School Division of the Quitman Invitational in 19:50.50.

Kaiden Winfrey, Ashdown football

The junior had 235 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns in the Panthers’ 33-27 loss to Arkadelphia.

Justice Neufeld, Acorn boys cross country

Neufeld won the Tom Stuthard Top 25 in Mena in 16:42.60.

The senior Northwestern commit ran just six times, gaining 200 yards and scored 4 touchdowns in the Bruins’ 63-14 win over Little Rock Christian.
