Congratulations to McCrory wide receiver Leevi Tucker for being voted SBLive’s Arkansas High School Athlete of the Week for Nov. 29-Dec. 5!

The sophomore scored on a 2-yard run and added the two-point conversion in a 20-18 victory over Poyen in the Class 2A semifinals. 

Tucker received 40.24% of the vote, beating out Strong's Treveon Daniels who finished second with 34.82%. Greenwood's Slade Dean finished third with 8.64% and Greenwood's Sebastian Crumb finished fourth with 6.08%. There were over 139,000 votes tallied this week!

Jonah Wilburn, Mountain Pine football

Wilburn completed 6-of-13 passes for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 66-60, double-overtime loss to Strong in the 8-Man State Championship.

Kel’el Ware, North Little Rock boys basketball

The senior post had 27 points, 14 rebounds, 5 blocks and 4 steals in a 72-52 victory over Beebe at the Hurricane Classic in Jonesboro. He had 19 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks in a 82-69 victory over Bartlett, Tenn. He had 11 points and 7 rebounds in a 62-48 loss to Jonesboro.

LaQuincy Shelton, Strong football

Shelton completed 17-of-27 passes for 246 yards and 5 touchdowns and earned MVP honors in Strong’s 66-60, double-overtime victory over Mountain Pine in the 8-Man State Championship.

Treveon Daniels, Strong football

Daniels rushed for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 66-60 double-overtime victory over Mountain Pine in the 8-Man State Championship. He also ran a kickoff back 71 yards for a touchdown.

Byron Maze, Strong football

Maze had 3 sacks and caught 9 passes for 65 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 66-60, double-overtime victory over Mountain Pine in the 8-Man State Championship.

Riley Brady, Episcopal Collegiate girls basketball

The junior guard scored 22 points, had 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in a 82-72 loss to Mayflower. She had 16 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in a 52-43 victory over Pulaski Academy and had 4 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists in a 42-35 victory over eStem.

Charlie Fiser, Pulaski Academy football

The Bruins quarterback was named MVP of the Class 5A state championship game after completing 17-of-36 passes for 386 yards and 3 touchdowns while rushing for 67 yards on 13 carries with 2 touchdowns in a 51-19 victory over White Hall.

Joe Himon, Pulaski Academy football

The Bruins running back and Northwestern commit rushed for 151 yards on 19 carries and scored 2 touchdowns in a 51-19 victory over White Hall in the Class 5A state championship game.

Jaylin McKinney, Pulaski Academy football

The Bruins wide receiver caught 5 passes for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 51-19 victory over White Hall in the Class 5A state championship game.

Charlie Barker, Pulaski Academy football

The Bruins wide receiver caught 4 passes for 121 yards and 1 touchdown in a 51-19 victory over White Hall in the Class 5A state championship game.

Nick Smith, North Little Rock boys basketball

The Bulldogs quarterback completed 15-of-24 passes for 202 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 51-19 loss to Pulaski Academy in the Class 5A state championship game.

Steven Weston, White Hall football

The Bulldogs receiver caught 4 passes for 61 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 51-19 loss to Pulaski Academy in the Class 5A state championship game.

Jordan Marshall, Little Rock Central girls basketball

The Redbugs halfback threw a 35-yard pass to Dominic Hammond for Fordyce’s only touchdown in a 7-6 victory over Clarendon in the Class 2A semifinals.

The senior guard and Razorback commit scored 21 points, had 3 rebounds and 2 assists in a. 75-43 victory over Calvert, Texas. He had 27 points in a. 73-53 victory over Bartlesville, Okla. in the Red River Hoopfest in Texarkana, Texas.

Ben Baker, Shiloh Christian football

The Saints halfback rushed for 207 yards and five touchdowns including the game winner with 1:47 left in a 57-54 victory over Arkadelphia in the Class 4A semifinals.
