Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Northern California High School Athlete of the Week for Dec. 6-12 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Monday, Dec. 20. Petelo Gi, Serra (San Mateo) RB

Gi totaled 140 yards of offense against the top-ranked team in the country, Mater Dei (Santa Ana), despite the Padres’ loss.

Austin McMillan, Folsom WR

In a competitive loss against Cathedral Catholic, McMillan had six catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns. 

Carson Woods, Liberty (Bakersfield) QB

In a close loss against Serra (Gardena), Woods threw for 147 yards and ran for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

Aiden “Ponyboy” Taylor, Central Catholic RB

Despite missing most of the second half with an injury, Taylor ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-25 loss against Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista). 

Kemauri Glenn, Wilcox RB

In a 31-28 defeat at the hands of Scripps Ranch, Glenn ran for 146 yards and two touchdowns.

Jamai East, Vanden WR/DB

East led the Vikings to a 14-13 comeback win over Aquinas with two touchdown catches from Tre Dimes and two interceptions.

Dreyan Paul, McClymonds QB

Paul threw three touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown in a 54-7 trouncing of Birmingham.

Dwayne McDougle, McClymonds SS/WR

McDougle caught two touchdown passes and also registered an interception and a sack.

Michael Ingrassia, Marin Catholic QB

Ingrassia threw two for two touchdowns and 168 yards, and ran for a touchdown in a 33-14 victory against Central Valley Christian.

Charlie Knapp, Marin Catholic DB

Knapp grabbed two interceptions, one of which was a 76-yard pick-six. 

R.L. Miller, Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep RB

Miller finished with a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown, and well over 150 yards of total offense in a 48-29 win against Northview.

Bruce Uperesa, Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep RB

Uperesa ripped off two touchdown runs of more than 50 yards.

Justin Guin, San Marin RB/FS

Guin led the Mustangs to a 20-14 win over Independence (Bakersfield) with 118 yards and two touchdowns rushing plus four tackles for loss.

Mat Bucher, Sacred Heart Prep LB/TE

Bucher helped lead the Gators to a shutout win against Righetti with a team-high 11 tackles (one for loss), plus a 12-yard reception.

Mateo Flores, Argonaut RB

Flores led Argonaut to a 47-14 victory over Quartz Hill by rushing for 222 yards and three touchdowns, and recording a receiving touchdown as well. 

Noah Del Sol, Salesian College Prep RB

Del Sol ran for four touchdowns and over 100 yards to lead The Pride to a 42-21 win against Arlington.

Evan Bidwell, Fall River TE/DT

Bidwell led the Bulldogs to a 43-13 win over Morro Bay with 46 yards and three touchdowns rushing, 33 yards and two touchdowns receiving, and a team-high 13 tackles.

Ryan Osborne, Fall River QB/LB

Osborne threw for two touchdowns and rushed for 152 yards and a TD, and also recorded eight tackles and an interception on defense.

Davondre Black, Balboa DB/WR

In a 43-0 rout of Taft, Black recorded an 81-yard kickoff return touchdown and a 90-yard rushing touchdown.
