The 25th annual Les Schwab Invitational boys basketball tournament tipped off Sunday at Liberty High School in Hillsboro.

Here’s a game-by-game recap of what went down, plus Day 1 statistical leaders …

Junior wing Isaiah Crane led all scorers with 22 points, Cade Collins added 16, and Tyree Blake grabbed eight rebounds with three steals to help the Crusaders (6-2) coast by the Cougars (6-2).

Payton Meyers (14 points), Alexander Evans (12 points, seven assists), Kellan Oakes (11) and Jacob Strand (10) scored in double figures for Canby, which trailed 36-22 at the break.

The Timberwolves (7-0) led 20-7 after one quarter and outscored the Lancers (5-2) 27-13 in the third on their way to an easy victory.

Senior Malik Ross scored a game-high 19 points, Noah Ogoli tallied 17, and Jaden Steppe came off the bench to notch 12 points and nine rebounds for Tualatin.

Carsen Luna scored eight points while reserves Evan Thompson and Pete Pennington had seven apiece in defeat.

The Lakers (2-5) drained six three-pointers in the first two quarters and raced to a 46-14 halftime advantage in a comfortable win over the Plainsmen (3-3).

Winters Grady, a 6-foot-6 freshman, poured in 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting in 13 minutes to pace Lake Oswego. Christian Rowell (13), Luke Brauner (12 points, nine rebounds, seven assists) and Carson Reno (11) also hit double digits for the Lakers.

Juelz Mendoza scored a team-high nine points and Delo Doutrive (six points off the bench) made all six of his free throw attempts for Evergreen.

Junior Beya Kim had a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds, Terrence Hill scored a team-high 17 points, and the Roughriders (5-1) held on to beat the late-charging Gophers (3-2).

Chance White added 14 points and Utrillo Morris contributed 12 for Roosevelt, which led 25-9 after the first quarter.

Junior guard Esyah Pippa-White finished with a game-high 23 points, and RJ Alexander and Scotty Riddle finished with 14 apiece for Gresham. The Gophers outscored Roosevelt in each of the final three periods but could not overcome their early hole.
