The 31st Holiday Classic high school boys basketball tournament at Torrey Pines has arrived. This year’s tournament, which is presented by SBLive Sports, tips off on Monday morning across four sites in the San Diego Section.

The tournament runs through Thursday, Dec. 30 and will feature 62 teams across four brackets. The top teams will compete in the National bracket at Torrey Pines High School. St. Augustine will host the American bracket, Carlsbad will host the Senator bracket and Rancho Buena Vista will host the Governor bracket.

Ten teams have dropped out of the tournament, leading to the elimination of the Mayor’s bracket. The updated schedule includes 31 games per day across the four sites:

Ahead of the tournament beginning on Monday, we’ve selected a Pre-Tournament All-Tournament team based on how players have have performed so far this season. We’ll have a full Holiday Classic All-Tournament team at the conclusion of the event later this week.

PRE-TOURNAMENT FIRST TEAM

G: TJ Caldwell - Faith Family - Senior

Caldwell had 30 points in last week's win over West Ranch and has helped the Eagles to a 15-3 start this season.

G: Ryan Abelman - Bishop Gorman - Senior

Abelman had 28 points in the championship game of last week's Tarkanian Classic against Liberty.

G: Richard Isaacs Jr. - Coronado - Senior

Isaacs had 34 points in last week's Tarkanian Classic loss to Faith Family.

F: Otto Landrum - Torrey Pines - Senior

Landrum is averaging 26 points and 12 rebounds through the first ten games of the season and is coming off of a 17-point, 12-rebound, ten-assist triple double against San Ysidro.

F: Darrion Williams - Bishop Gorman - Senior

Williams was named MVP at the Tarkanian Classic after helping the Gaels to a 97-95 victory in the championship game.

PRE-TOURNAMENT SECOND TEAM

G: Aidan Mahaney - Campolindo - Senior

Mahaney has led the Cougars to a 6-0 start, most recently beating St. Francis (Mountain View) 72-44.

G: Jake Hall - Carlsbad - Freshman

Jake Hall Carlsbad

Hall is averaging over 20 points per game during the first 12 games of his high school career and just helped the Lancers to a win over Mater Dei Catholic with a 26-point performance.

F: Brandon Walker - Faith Family - Senior

The UT-Arlington signee has paired well with Caldwell to help the Eagles win 15 of their first 18 games this season.

F: Osiris Grady - Coronado - Junior

Grady had 15 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks in last week's win over De La Salle (IL).

C: Dennis Evans - Hillcrest - Junior

Evans has made his presence known on defense so far this season, blocking over seven shots per game to go along with 11 points and nine rebounds per contest.
