Here are the candidates for the WaFd BankOregon High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 3-9 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Diego Aguilar, Jefferson (2A)

The junior guard went off for a 41-point performance as he helped the Lions post a 75-62 win over Regis in a Central Valley Conference game played at Jefferson High School.

Owen Caudle, Sherwood

The senior guard had a huge game for the Bowmen in their 73-57 nonleague victory at Sunset. Caudle poured in 31 points in the win, while also pulling down seven rebounds.

Jalen Childs, Sunset

The senior guard scored a game-high 21 points to help the Apollos post a 71-58 win over Newberg in a nonleague game played at Sunset High School.

Bryce Dyer, North Medford

The senior wing had another big game for the Black Tornado, helping lead the way in a 100-47 win at Yreka, Calif. In the victory, Dyer scored 22 points, while also having 10 rebounds and six assists.

Ashton Foster, Dallas

The senior guard scored a game-high 21 points as he helped the Dragons rally from a 14-point deficit to get a 66-64 win over West Albany in a Mid-Willamette Conference game played at Dallas High School.

Parker Harrison, Nelson

The junior scored a game-high 25 points to help the Hawks, who were missing three starters, notch a 66-52 win at Reynolds in a Mt. Hood Conference opener.

Jake Hergert, Westside Christian

The senior guard helped lead the Eagles to a key 57-51 road win over De La Salle Catholic. In the victory, Hergert scored a team-high 17 points, while also having 11 rebounds and four steals.

Devon Malcolm, South Medford

The senior forward had a strong overall game, with 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists, as he helped the Panthers post a 74-41 nonleague win over Clackamas.
