Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oregon High School Team of the Week for Jan. 10-16 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Barlow boys basketball

The Bruins (8-4) won their first three Mt. Hood Conference contests, holding off Gresham 48-46 on Tuesday, blowing out David Douglas 79-55 on Friday and winning 66-47 at defending MHC champion Clackamas on Saturday.

Corbett girls basketball

The Cardinals (12-0) remained the only unbeaten team at the 4A level after a 49-46 home win over No. 10 Astoria on Friday.

Crescent Valley girls basketball

The Raiders (9-4) moved to the top of the Mid-Willamette Conference with a 60-54 road win at fellow contender Corvallis on Thursday.

Culver boys wrestling

The Bulldogs won the 2A/1A title at the Oregon Classic in Redmond.

Hillsboro girls basketball

The Spartans (7-2) showed off their defense with back-to-back Northwest Oregon Conference wins — 24-20 over St. Helens and 32-20 over Milwaukie. Hillsboro is second in points allowed among 5A schools.

Illinois Valley boys basketball

The Cougars (12-0), ranked No. 2 in the 2A division, moved up a level and beat St. Mary’s (Medford) 64-61 on Tuesday before opening Southern Cascade League play with a 43-32 win over Lost River on Friday.

Jefferson girls basketball

The Democrats (6-5) moved alone into first place in the PIL on Tuesday with a 41-39 win over Ida B. Wells. The team’s fourth straight league win also helped Jefferson crack the top 10 in the OSAA big-school rankings.

La Grande boys wrestling

The Tigers were crowned 4A dual-meet champions at the Oregon Classic in Redmond.

La Pine boys wrestling

The Hawks earned the 3A dual-meet championship at the Oregon Classic in Redmond.

Lincoln boys basketball

The Cardinals (10-4) scored a 72-52 win over Franklin on Tuesday, then rallied from a 20-point deficit to beat Grant 82-28 the next night. Lincoln finished the week atop the PIL with a 4-1 record.

Marshfield boys basketball

The Pirates (12-2) notched a 60-50 win over No. 5 Seaside on Wednesday before opening Sky-Em League play with a 59-46 road win at fellow contender Cottage Grove on Friday.

Mountain View girls basketball

The Cougars (8-3) won their Mountain Valley opener 46-42 against South Salem on Tuesday, followed with a 41-36 win over Summit on Friday.

Newberg boys wrestling

The Tigers dominated the 6A final at the Oregon Classic in Redmond, defeating Mountain View 62-9.

Powder Valley boys basketball

The Badgers (13-1) opened the week with a 69-33 win over Cove with first place in the Old Oregon League at stake. The top-ranked team at Class 1A followed that by moving up two levels to knock of Umatilla 46-44 on Thursday.

South Medford girls basketball

The Panthers (7-2) ended a 22-day hiatus with a trip to California, which saw a lopsided 77-44 win over Chico in a nonleague contest Thursday. South Medford opened the elite Nike MLK Showcase tournament in Stockton the next night with a 56-48 win over Woodside. Donovyn Hunter led the team with 21 points.

Summit boys basketball

The No. 4 Storm (11-0) put in a three-win week, starting Monday with a 47-43 win over No. 9 Mountainside. Summit ended the week with a convincing 84-63 road win Thursday at fellow league contender Mountain View.

Thurston boys wrestling

The Colts’ one-point victory over Crook County in the 5A championship match highlighted the weekend’s festivities at the Oregon Classic in Redmond.

Thurston girls wrestling

The Colts took home the title at the Oregon Classic in Redmond, defeating Sweet Home 36-24 in the final.

West Linn boys basketball

The Lions (7-0) stayed perfect on the season with an 80-77 win over Lake Oswego to start Three Rivers play on Wednesday, followed by an 84-50 road win at La Salle Prep on Friday. West Linn has surpassed 80 points in six of its seven games.

Wilsonville girls basketball

The Wildcats (8-4) opened Northwest Oregon Conference play with a 49-33 win at Milwaukie on Monday, followed by a 48-19 win over Scappoose on Thursday.
