SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- After playing an even first two quarters, Del Norte came out of the halftime break on fire Wednesday night, outscoring San Marcos 23-7 in the third quarter while knocking down five three-pointers. The Knights applied full court pressure in the fourth quarter and were able to cut the lead down to five points with just over three minutes remaining but the Nighthawks regained their composure and held on for a 64-58 victory. Senior captain Nico Peerenboom led Del Norte with 16 points while San Marcos senior guard Devon Arlington had a game-high 27 points. Del Norte improved to 15-5 and 2-1 in the Palomar League while San Marcos dropped to 12-4 and 2-1 in the league. Watch the highlights below.
