Congratulations to Hillsboro forward Logan Jackson for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 10-16!

The senior had a strong performance for the Spartans in their 78-76 win over Milwaukie in a Northwest Oregon Conference game played at Milwaukie High School. In the victory, Jackson scored 25 points, while also having nine rebounds, four assists and a blocked shot.

Jackson received 47.32% of the vote, beating out Sprague's Dallon Morgan, who finished second with 37.78%. Stayton's Jacob Axmaker finished third with8.62% and Jefferson's Jace Aguilar finished fourth with 2.13%. There were over 24,000 votes tallied this week!

Jace Aguilar, Jefferson

The junior guard scored a game-high 27 points as he helped the Lions post a 73-66 win over Monroe in a Central Valley Conference game played at Monroe High School. 

Shane Arnold, Summit

The senior scored 19 points, and added eight rebounds, as he helped the Storm score a 77-54 win over McNary in a Mountain Valley Conference game played at Summit High School.

Jalen Atkins, Barlow

The freshman guard scored a game-high 18 points, sinking four 3-pointers in the process, in helping the Bruins notch a 48-46 win over Gresham in a Mt. Hood Conference game played at Gresham High School. 

Jacob Axmaker, Stayton

The senior guard scored a game-high 27 points, sinking six second-half 3-pointers, helping the Eagles earn a 70-61 win over Newport in an Oregon West Conference game played at Stayton High School. 

Jalen Childs, Sunset

The junior point guard scored a team-high 23 points, on an 8-for-11 shooting night, while also having seven rebounds and three assists for the Apollos in their 76-59 win over South Eugene in a nonleague game played at Sunset High School.

Clayton Cook, Hood River Valley

The senior wing had a big week for the Eagles. In an 81-79 nonleague win over Banks, Cook scored 21 points, going 3 for 5 from 3-point range, while also having six assists and four rebounds. In a 59-51 Intermountain Conference victory over Crook County, Cook scored 20 points, going 4 for 7 from 3-point range, with six rebounds and two assists. 

Justin Davis, Liberty

The senior wing/guard sank four 3-point baskets on his way to scoring 14 points for the Falcons in their 62-57 win over Newberg in a Pacific Conference opener played at Liberty High School.

Kaden Groenig, Southridge

The sophomore guard scored a game-high 23 points to help the Skyhawks post a 54-47 overtime win over Aloha in a Metro League game played at Southridge High School. 

Caden Harris, Summit

The senior helped the Storm move to 9-0 by scoring a game-high 23 points in the team’s 47-43 victory over Mountainside in a nonleague game played at Summit High School. 

Parker Harrison, Nelson

The junior had a huge game for the Hawks in their 66-52 Mt. Hood Conference win at Reynolds. In the victory, Harrison scored 25 points, while also having 13 rebounds, three assists and five steals. 

Izzy Hemphill, Willamette

The senior wing scored a game-high 19 points while also having eight rebounds and two blocked shots for the Wolverines in their 55-48 win over North Eugene in a Midwestern League game played at Willamette High School. 

Dallon Morgan, Sprague

The senior forward tied a school record by scoring 40 points for the Olympians in an 88-68 win over South Salem in a Mountain Valley Conference game. Morgan shot at a 16-for-24 clip from the field, with five 3-pointers, while also having nine rebounds, three assists and two steals. Morgan also had a double-double, with 20 points and 15 rebounds, as he helped the Olympians score a 63-45 victory at Bend. 

Samaje Morgan, Churchill

The senior guard scored a game-high 20 points, including 11 in the third quarter, while also having five assists and two rebounds for the Lancers in their 60-36 Midwestern League victory over Thurston. 

Adrian Mosley, Grant

The junior wing had a big game for the Generals in their 66-57 Portland Interscholastic League win at Ida B. Wells. In the victory, Mosley had 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists. 

Jacob Newell, Thurston

The senior, a football standout, had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Colts in their 64-37 win over North Eugene in a Midwestern League game played at Thurston High School. 

Chase Nelson, Central

The junior led a balanced Central attack, scoring 18 points in helping the Panthers notch a 65-60 double-overtime win over Corvallis in a Mid-Willamette Conference game played at Central High School. 

Tane Prictor, Mountain View

The senior center had a double-double, with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while also blocking five shots for the Cougars in their 85-83 win over South Salem in a Mountain Valley Conference game played at South Salem High School. 

Cody Reece, Cascade Christian

The senior guard led a balanced Challengers scoring attack with 15 points while also dishing off eight assists in the team’s 64-35 nonleague win over Harrisburg in a game played at Douglas High School. 

Brady Rice, Beaverton

The junior sank five 3-point baskets in the first quarter on his way to scoring a game-high 23 points for the Beavers in their 66-33 win over Westview in a Metro League game played at Beaverton High School.

Leron Richards, Hillsboro

The senior guard had a strong all-around game for the Spartans in their 59-41 win over St. Helens in a Northwest Oregon Conference game played at St. Helens High School. In the victory, Richards scored 15 points, while also having 10 rebounds and eight assists. 

Emanuel Romero, Hood River Valley

The senior guard sparked a fourth-quarter comeback for the Eagles in their 59-51 Intermountain Conference win over Crook Country with three steals and layups early in the fourth quarter. Romero finished the game with 15 points, five assists and four steals. He also had 17 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals in an 81-79 nonleague win over Banks. 

Moroni Seely-Roberts, Lincoln

The junior post/guard had a big game for the Cardinals in their 72-52 win over Franklin in a PIL contest played at Lincoln High School. In the victory, Seely-Roberts scored 23 points, to go with 15 rebounds and five assists. Seely-Roberts also scored 32 points in an 82-68 win over Grant.

Jackson Shelstad, West Linn

The junior point guard came through in the clutch for the Lions in their Three Rivers League-opening 80-77 win over Lake Oswego in a game played at West Linn High School. Shelstad, who had the go-ahead layup with six seconds to play, finished the game with 35 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals. 

Aidan Slater, Central Catholic

The senior led a balanced Rams scoring attack with 16 points in the team’s 80-38 victory over Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference game played at Central Catholic High School. 

Quincy Townsend, Mountain View

The sophomore guard had a huge game for the Cougars, scoring 28 points while also having 12 assists and seven rebounds in the team’s 85-83 win over South Salem in a Mountain Valley Conference game played at South Salem High School.
