It's already playoff time in Florida high school boys basketball. District tournaments tip off around the state this week, with regional playoffs to follow next week.

Westminster Academy, Dwyer, Lakeland and Oak Ridge all move into this week's rankings ahead of District tournament showdowns.

The inaugural National Interscholastic Basketball Conference concluded this past weekend, with the Ascenders dropping two of their last three games to two of the best teams in the nation.

2. Montverde Academy (19-4)

The Eagles capped off their week, by winning three games in three days (All by double digits).

3. Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale) (16-2)

District tournament play begins for the Eagles who are looking to win their 3rd consecutive district title.

The Panthers check into this week, ranked No. 4 in our SBLive Florida boys’ basketball rankings. The Panthers ended the regular season winning 13 of their last 15 games.

5. Columbus (22-2)

Last Week: Defeated Southwest (Miami) 76-36

This Week: vs TBD (Wed.)

The Explorers round out the SBLive Florida boys’ basketball Top 5 rankings this week. They come into the district tournament riding a 5-game winning streak.

6. Orlando Christian Prep (19-4)

Previous Rank: 6

Last Week: Defeated Winter Haven 68-49, Defeated Seffner Christian 69-36

This Week: vs TBD (Tues.)

The Warriors are playing good basketball and come into this week’s district tournament on a 9-game winning streak. The Warriors will await the Florida Prep/Merritt Island Christian winner in tomorrow’s Class 2A, District 8 Semifinals.

7. Andrew Jackson (23-2)

Last Week: Defeated Ribault (Jacksonville) 63-31, Defeated Fleming Island 53-40

The Tigers check into this week’s SBLive Florida boys’ basketball rankings at No. 7

They’ll await the Bolles/Tocoi Creek winner on Wednesday, in the Class 4A, District 3 Semifinals (Hosted by Bishop Kenny High School)

8. Pembroke Pines Charter (19-3)

Last Week: Defeated Coral Springs 71-38, Defeated Stranahan 56-45, Defeated Dillard 74-59

This Week: vs Plantation (Tues.)

The Jaguars ended the regular season, winning 11 of their last 12 games (Only loss came to IMG Academy on January 28). The Jaguars clinched the No. 1 seed in the Class 6A, District 14 Tournament.

9. Lake Highland Prep (20-3)

Last Week: Defeated Melbourne 77-57, Defeated Mainland 60-43, Defeated Auburndale 74-52

This Week: vs TBD (Wed.)

The Highlanders are coming into the District 4A-6 Tournament rolling, as they’ve won six in a row. They’ll await the Lake Buena Vista/Horizon winner in the Class 4A, District 6 Semifinals on Wednesday night.

10.North Broward Prep (24-1)

Last Week: Lost to Westminster Academy 53-47, Defeated Miami Country Day 81-54

This Week: vs Glades Central (Tues.)

Last week, the Eagles sustained their first loss of the season to highly ranked Westminster Academy. They responded with a 81-54 thumping over Miami Country Day.

11.Windermere (19-5)

Previous Rank: 12

Last Week: Lost to Dr. Phillips 56-53, Defeated Lakeland 57-55

This Week: vs TBD (Wed.)

The Wolverines check into this week’s rankings at No. 11

Over the last four games of the season, the Wolverines have had a few upset bids (Winning 3 of the 4)

12. Westminster Academy (17-6)

Previous Rank: Not Ranked

Last Week: Defeated North Broward Prep 53-47

This Week: vs TBD (Tues.)

The Lions are ranked in the SBLive Florida boys’ basketball rankings for the first time this season. They’ll await the Somerset Canyons/Chaminade-Madonna winner in the Class 3A, District 13 Semifinals tomorrow night.

13. Dwyer (19-2)

Previous Rank: Not Ranked

Last Week: Defeated Suncoast 68-65, Defeated Forest Hill (West Palm Beach) 69-57

This Week: vs TBD (Wed.)

The Panthers have secured the No. 1 seed in the Class 6A, District 13 Tournament which tips off tomorrow night. The Panthers are also winners of nine straight and 16 of their last 17 games.

14. Lakeland (18-2)

Last Week: Defeated George Jenkins 59-50, Defeated Berkeley Prep 52-51, Lost to Windermere 57-55

The Dreadnaughts are ranked in the SBLive Florida boys’ basketball rankings for the first time this season, checking in at No. 14

The Dreadnaughts will await the Lake Gibson/Kathleen winner in the Class 6A, District 7 Semifinals on Wednesday night.
