Bellah Machen, Mortimer Jordan Girls Basketball:

The senior scored 14 points in Mortimer Jordan's senior night 60-27 win over Pell City. The Lady Blue Devils now head into the postseason, where they host Gardendale in the Class 6A Area 12 area tournament.

Daisy Luna, Hoover Girls Track & Field:

The 8th grader won the 400m indoor state title with a time of 56.26. The girls and boys track & field team also won the 7A state indoor title.

Reese Gurner, Vestavia Hills Boys Basketball:

Gurner dropped 24 points and 4 rebounds in the Rebels' 77-53 win over Pike Road.

Emma Kerley, Briarwood Girls Basketball:

Kerley scored 18 points in Briarwood's 51-23 win over Chilton County.

Tristan Gilmore, McAdory Boys Basketball:

Gilmore scored 23 points in McAdory's dominant 92-60 win against Carver-Birmingham. The Jackets finished the regular season 16-11 and 2nd place in Area 9.

Olivia Johnigan, Helena Girls Basketball:

The junior recorded 23 points and 9 rebounds in a 56-50 overtime win against Thompson.

Brady Dunn, Oak Mountain Boys Basketball:

The senior had 21 points in a 68-51 senior night win over Helena.

Tanveer Raza, Hewitt-Trussville Boys Track & Field:

The California Berkeley commit won the shot put individual state title with a winning throw of 54-09. The Huskies’ boys took third place, while Hewitt-Trussville’s girls came in second in the 7A State Indoor Track Championships on Saturday.

Samiya Steele, Hazel Green Girls Basketball:

The Alabama State commit led Hazel Green with 21 points, 4 assists and 4 steals in a 66-34 win over Lee-Huntsville. With the win, the Lady Trojans remain unbeaten in the regular season (28-0) moving into postseason play this week.

Luke Miller, Chelsea Boys Soccer:

Miller scored his first career goal, and Chelsea's lone goal of the game in a 1-0 victory against Pelham. Chelsea finished second in the Gold division of the Lakeshore Shooutout tournament to kick-off the 2022 season.

Kamoriah Gaines, Clay-Chalkville Girls Basketball:

Gaines led all scorers with 19 points in a 55-33 victory over Shades Valley.

Julius Clark, Mountain Brook Boys Basketball:

The junior dropped 15 points and 5 rebounds in a 99-35 blowout win over Cornerstone.
