Isaiah Evans, Drake Powell, Paul McNeil among notables from NC attending NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp

Several of the top boys high school basketball players are among the roster at the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp being held in Orlando June 26-July 1.

Isaiah Evans (North Mecklenburg), who has committed to Duke, Drake Powell (Northwood), who has committed to North Carolina, and Paul McNeil (Richmond Senior), who has committed to N.C. State, highlight the six players from North Carolina at the camp.

Jaeden Mustaf (Carmel Christian), Nasir Mohammed (Myers Park) and Austin Swartz (Cannon School) are also participating.

The NBAPA’s Top 100 High School Basketball Camp is regarded as the premier basketball event available to elite high school athletes. Since its inception in 1994, over 300 players have gone on to successful careers in the NBA. The camp has grown into one of the most highly touted and renowned camps of its kind.

Campers learn key fundamentals from over 30 current and former NBA players as they coach games, run practices, and conduct skill development stations.

Renowned coach and NBA veteran John Lucas serves as the Top 100 Scouting Consultant for the camp. 

Emphasizing character, education and skill development as the core principles necessary to maximize potential, the Top 100 Camp offers a unique and valuable curriculum. All activities are designed to prepare players for competition at the next level while also developing life skills. The trainings include a sophisticated Skills Development Program, highlighted by its Mentoring from current & retired NBA players, Personal Development and Education components.

In addition, every camper participates in a series of group discussions and classes. Topics range from stress management to sex education, handling recruiting pressures, dressing for success, and other life-lesson subjects offered by expert trainers, counselors, current and retired NBA players.
